I still can't get over what an amazing game Blood Of Dawnwalker was. I feel depressed now after finishing it. Everything is so well done in the game, side quest and all.

Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave is so good! Nintendo is delivering banger after banger after banger here. A generational run really while a certain other company flounders in the gutter

I haven't even touched Rebirth yet lol and I really enjoy the Remake stuff, even more so because it's a sequel to the original, but FF has gone downhill overall imo. Trails is my current favourite JRPG series, and it's really not even a close competition.

@deathkid

No one is stopping you from enjoying the FFVII Reamke games. But my point still stands, it's poorly written fanfiction. First time I played Final Fantasy VII was in 1999. Final Fantasy VII and Resident Evil 1(I still have both), were my first 2 PlayStation 1 games. So I've played Final Fantasy VII numerous times over the years. What what the Remake games are, are nothing more than imitators.

It's mass market slop at it's finest. Does it make it terrible games? Not at all, Remake Part 1 was fairly decent. But let's not pretend that any of the remake games are as good as the original. I hope Square Enix doesn't touch Final Fantasy VIII. Because they'll ruin that as well.

@phreak - Dont't get me wrong, many fans have valid criticism's with the game and I respect that. And It sucks when a game you're excited for doesn't hit the way you'd hope. I mean as fans we want to enjoy all entries in our favourite franchises.

I feel that as I'm getting older I rather just enjoy games for what they are.

One thing that I am not happy with is that FFVII Revelation will not be fully on disc, even though physical discs are included.

I'm a pretty hardcore FF fan but if you love the Remake series, as I do, you also kind of have to understand that a lot of contentious decisions were made in the story and it's just not gonna land with some people. I totally get why some folks don't like it or agree with the changes.

I do hope however that the announcement of FFXVII is close, feels like the FF fandom needs a new mainline title to reset after the Remake series lol

Hope it lives up to your expectations and you love it.
Always sucks to not be with happy for a game you were excited about.

@phreak - that I understand. Rabid defenders are rarely better than those that hate on a game. If you like a game or series, it makes sense you want to discuss what it could have done better or where it might go in the future.

Think people have become to comfortable with giving simplistic aggressive responses, attaching a strong emotion to it as justification, then calling it a day.

High - I no longer expect anything from people and honestly it's brought me so much peace
Low - Sad that I had to come to this conclusion in the first place.

Low - Our complex is being re-painted but the painters had to come into our garden. I've spent a lot of time during lockdown making our garden really pretty, digging new beds, making little brick borders, planting new shrubs and made a lovely herb garden as well. The painters came in the other day and within an hour had destroyed everything, kicked around the bricks, trampled all the herbs, messed stones and sand all over the place. It was heart breaking to see, after all my hard work

You think you got it bad, our complex is damp proofing the units. They take of about an inch of plaster on the outside with an air powered jackhammer. The noise is insane. I told them they need to wait with our unit as I work from home…

On top of that, the cutting all the trees in the complex….

Yes they're doing the same at our place as well. The noise is one thing, but destroying my garden is so unnecessary.

Low: Spent most of the weekend sick in bed. PROBABLY not covid, as I don't have enough symptoms... but they refuse to actually test you. They tell you to "Go home and monitor yourself". For What exactly? If you die, you had Covid?WTF? Even if they do test you it takes 10 days, by which time you are either better of terminal. It really makes you wonder just how many untested cases there are

Can you not just go to a testing station and just get tested? They can't just turn you away surely? Also there is a service where a nurse will come out and test you at your house.

Grey area I'm afraid. They are Supposed to check you, but they are:
a: out of test kits
b: only testing high risk people
c: closed for "reasons"
d: horribly busy, please come back later(?)
e: very expensive. (Like R2500 or more, and then results in 10 days)

Believe me, I had an educational time calling around

Just go to dischem, it's R700 for the test, they do it right there either in store or in a parking lot depeding on where you go. If you test positive and Discovery is your Med Aid then they pay for the test.

Dischem suspended that service as the labs were overloaded, it recently reopened. The only one in Gauteng currently is Centurion Lake.

@tebulot one of my neighbours went to the Lancet at Sandton Clinic and got tested without a referral. Also apparently the Nextpath at Sandton Vitalab will test without referrals.

Yip, got to celebrate the release of the Tony Hawks Remake!
I used DGs deck from the CE for the braai
It gives off a bit of a chemical smell, but it shouldn't affect the meat

On that note, they broke into my bosses house during the night, while he was at home sleeping. They stole a TV, then the alarm went off & they bolted. This is in a "secured" complex.
Then they poisoned two dogs at another guys place. The one died, the other is doing okay.
& we can't go to Clicks
