@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

For niche titles it's okay. Problem is I play mainly bigger titles. Games are expensive enough as is. If I can save 50 bucks, use my ebucks (which some retailers allow) then I'm definitely going with another retailer.

Basically if I have to choose between paying delivery or not I'm going to go for not paying for delivery. On top of that, I find my Nexus orders are usually delayed. I don't think I've ever received a game on release day which is annoying when you're paying extra for delivery especially. And often you have to ask where it is which I don't think the customer should have to do, that's part of customer service.

TBH after BF4 and Ghosts I am somewhat burnt out on military FPS'. Give me more Wolfenstein and let these games take a breather. Only FPS that I am really looking forward to is the Master Chief Collection, I'll be skipping this and Hardline.

Lot of people in Germany was playing it already last night. They were all slamming it, saying that it is worse than COD Ghosts.

You can never know, however pre-ordering a game just to hate on it? Getting to lvl40 in a day, completing the story mission within hours. Does not sound to me like somebody that is hating because of hating.

People spend cash for many reasons, hating would be one of them. People are not always rational. As for the short story, heck anyone who has played CoD since MW1 would know that the campaigns are criminally short. Also to the point about level capping in one day, people did that in Destiny on launch...

Like I said, I will wait for a few trusted reviews before deciding if this game is K@K.

@ Magius and Der - We have noticed recently that gamers tend to lean on all the negative aspects of gaming lately instead of looking at the positive cool stuff in the game. (hit gets them/ the website more attention)

I have played a few hours of the single player already and its rather impressive (graphically) but still very COD (gameplay) so I guess, like buying other annual releases like AC, don't expect it to be too different but rather similar, the reason you pick up the title every year

The exosuit gameplay is pretty damn sweet though...

How is Kevin Spacey? That's all I care about

Also, I read that this game also has Zombies...care to comment on that? Because its gonna be pretty tough to beat Tryarch's Zombies and Ghosts having the frikkin Predator!

I'm genuinely excited for COD again...feels like 2009 all over again (MW2 did not disappoint BTW!)

Must say quite keen to pick this up. Have never been a CoD bro but I've always enjoyed the single player, and the MP has always been a fun, quick and easy experience even if you're a casual FPS player (though this is hugely subjective).

Since upgrading I've had a hankering to throw some CoD MP on again, so reckon I'll be grabbing this close to release, which if you're planning on playing any MP, I think is essential. Not so much because people over-level very quickly (not 100% sure how it scales this time around), but in my experience it's mostly due to hands-on time with maps and weapons, those with more time simply have a bigger advantage.
Ultimately MP isn't fun unless you're at least somewhat competent at FPS', but 80% of players start at the same level as far as map/weapon experience is concerned which helps to equalize the playing field a bit.

Get it late and you'll pretty much join a match to get one-shotted after 5 steps.

Hmmm. You don't mind AC being released annually because you like the IP and it's gameplay but alot of people despise the franchise - Just as COD guys love that IP and it's gameplay but many people don't like the COD brand

Just cause you don't like COD that doesn't make it a bad game, most people really like it - just respect that we as gamers like different types/ genres of games which is why its such a great hobby
