Pokemon Holiday Club Comes to South Africa – Everything You Need to Know
In a first for South Africa, the Pokémon Holiday Club is headed our way. The event aims to bring the Pokémon series to fans in various ways from the video games, mobile apps, and even the Pokémon TCG. The Pokémon Holiday Club is a week-long event where fans from across South Africa can head to one of the four participating Pokémon Hubs to attend the many activities planned around the series.
The Pokémon Holiday Club kicks off on 29 March and is a completely free event to attend. Every two days, the activity changes at the Pokémon Hub so you can attend the event that you’re interested in.
On 29 and 30 March, the Pokémon Hubs will be hosting video game days where the activities will focus around learning Pokémon Go, Pokémon TCG Pocket, and Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
On 1 and 2 April, the Pokémon Hubs will host a Learn to Play the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) event. Here, beginners will be guided through the basics of the Pokémon TCG and will get to build their very own starter deck and leave with it to dominate the world.
On 3 and 4 April, a special Deck Building Workshop will see aspiring Pokémon Masters learn now to construct a winning deck and learn from expert TCG players how to refine their strategy with a hands-on experience.
On 5 and 6 April, an Alternate Play Mode class will take place where players will learn different ways they can play the Pokémon TCG beyond the standard battle system.
The Pokémon Holiday Club will take place at four specific hubs across South Africa. In Cape Town, it is hosted by Imperium Games; in Johannesburg, it is hosted by Nexus Hub; in KwaZulu-Natal, it is hosted by The Big Bang Shop; and in Pretoria, it is hosted by The Geek Home.
