New cars for Project CARS 2, GT Sport and Forza Horizon 3
As reported by IGN, 2017's Geneva Motor Show will see the unveiling of upcoming vehicles in both Project CARS 2, Forza Horizon 3 as well as Gran Turismo Sport, all of which have confirmed new cars coming to their respective titles.
The first car we reported, the Fittipaldi EF7, will be making its debut in GT Sport as well as in real life in a "limited production" capacity of 25 cars. The Pinifarina style car launched in Geneva in collaboration with German race engineering company HWA, legendary Italian coachbuilder and car design firm Pinifarina as well as the team at Polyphony Digital. Along with the car, customers will be able to gain exclusive coaching sessions with Emmerson Fittipaldi himself as well as various other club perks. The EF7 will come with 600bhp and a 4.8L V8 engine.
Slightly Mad Studios, the team behind Project CARS 2 also announced a new contender, the McLaren 720S which will make it's debut in gaming when the game launches later this year. The team explained that the reveal “marks months of close collaboration between the teams at McLaren Automotive and Slightly Mad Studios in developing the virtual car whilst still developing the real car – a first for both.” The 720S is the successor to the 650S and is lighter, has a lower center of gravity and comes packed with an all-new-twin-turbo 4L V8 that rockets from 0-100km/h in 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 341km/h.
Finally, Forza Horizon 3 devs, Playground Games and Turn 10 have announced the new Tata Motors TAMO Racemo, which is India's first ever sports car. This little machine is powered by a tiny three-cylinder, turbocharged engine that packs 187 horsepower and 155 pound-feet of torque. The Racemo arrives alongside the Duracell Car Pack and is free to all owners of Forza Horizon 3 at no cost.
All 3 vehicles are unique in their own right, and it's really encouraging to see the direct correlation between real world driving and gaming, especially in a case like the EF7 which shows a design symbiosis between the two mediums.
