GTA Online Casino Update Features Are Locked For South Africans
The GTA Online Casino update dropped yesterday, but South Africans cannot partake in any form of gambling in the casino, due to the fact that it is classified as "online gambling" in South Africa, which is illegal.

The Casino update released, and after hopping online, we were met with dismay when we were told that "this feature is not available to you" when walking up to any of the casino's facilities. It seems that the "gambling" features in the casino are removed in certain countries, including:
So far, there has been no official comment from Rockstar regarding the feature blocking. However, it seems to be tied into the country's specific laws on online gambling regulation, and since it is illegal here in South Africa according to the National Gambling Act of 2004, the features have been blocked, as they constitute online gambling.
The classification of online gambling is interesting, considering you buy in-game Chips with GTA$, and while you can buy these with Shark Cards, you can also earn the money in-game. As it stands, though, the features do not seem to be added in the future, due to the stringent laws. Furthermore, the National Gambling Board has yet to comment on why these features were labeled as online gambling, when there are no real-world winnings that can be attained.
For now, if you wish to partake in the gambling shenanigans, you will need to use some sort of IP re-routing service, but I mean, those aren't real, right?
