On this segment of interviews for Creators United, we had the chance to chat with the leading lady of BloodRush Gaming: Jessica "Aurora92" Botha. When not playing Fortnite, Aurora92 can be found trophy-hunting. With almost 50 platinum trophies under her belt, she's proven that she's no one to take lightly when it comes to dedication in gaming. Nexus got the chance to talk to her about the upcoming Creators United, her involvement, and some fun little facts that make her an absolute bundle of joy.
What inspired you to be a content creator?
I just started gaming and met the guys from BloodRush Gaming, and they invited me to join the clan. I was asked to do the social media for them, and ever since then, I've been a part of the team.
Who are your inspirations, and why?
My other BloodRush Gaming members. I don't watch a lot of other content creators. I don't wanna say PewDiePie! (I think we all could show some love for Pewds).
What type of content do you create?
We do mostly gaming-related content, like streams, specifically Fortnite and currently waiting for Apex Legends season 2. Borderlands 3 is coming soon too!
What prompted you to participate in the Creators United?
I saw it as a good opportunity to be a part of something that's bigger than us. Also we want to give back to the community in our own way, to show our appreciation.
Have you ever worked with any charity events before?
Sadly not. This is our first major one.
When you’re not a content creator/superhero, what do you do in your daily life?
I work at a geek merchandise store.
What are the greatest difficulties you’ve faced being a content creator?
Getting people to watch our videos. It's quite hard, and it's harder to get a good momentum going.
How did you feel when your content was appreciated for the first time?
It felt really good! Like everything was worth it, so we'll continue to do more when we can.
What is your ultimate goal as a content creator?
To just be recognized in the gaming community. Just as social gaming influencers, and that we hopefully make worthwhile content.
