@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

For niche titles it's okay. Problem is I play mainly bigger titles. Games are expensive enough as is. If I can save 50 bucks, use my ebucks (which some retailers allow) then I'm definitely going with another retailer.

Basically if I have to choose between paying delivery or not I'm going to go for not paying for delivery. On top of that, I find my Nexus orders are usually delayed. I don't think I've ever received a game on release day which is annoying when you're paying extra for delivery especially. And often you have to ask where it is which I don't think the customer should have to do, that's part of customer service.

Warhammer fan made film Lord Inquisitor progressing well. 40 minute film planned for 31/12/2017 so probably next year.

Trailer from 2011

Teaser from 2014. Note Grey Knights are the most elite Space Marine chapter, daemon hunters who use Nemesis force weapons like the halberd shown to slice and dice Warp entities. They report directly to the Inquistion along with the Deathwatch and the Sisters of Battle

From late last year the prologue, looks incredible

How will they be able to release the movie?

Everyone knows how full of banana leaves GW are about their IP rights?

Like past projects the will never see a legal release…

@... Given how many video games they are releasing lately, including some unimpressive looking titles designed for mobile, I'm hoping they have become more amenable to endorsing third-party projects.

Games Workshop have given their blessings, there is only one caveat, Erasmus Brosdau (the man behind it) cannot profit from it.

Just a correction - The Grey Knights is not an elite marine chapter, they are a secret chapter ....

"The Grey Knights are a secret, mysterious Loyalist Chapter of Space Marines specifically tasked with combating the dangerous daemonic entities of the Warp and all those who wield the corrupt power of the Chaos Gods. They have the honour of being implanted with gene-seed engineered directly from the genome of the Emperor Himself. The Grey Knights act as the military arm or Chamber Militant of the Ordo Malleus, the Daemonhunters who form the oldest branch of the virtually omnipotent Inquisition. The Grey Knights' Fortress-Monastery is based on Titan, the largest of the moons of the gas giant Saturn in the Sol System, that is kept as a private preserve of the Inquisition. The existence of the Chapter is virtually unknown outside of the Inquisition and the highest echelons of the Imperial Adepta, and is a well-guarded secret enforced by mind-wipes and even assassination of Imperial citizens if necessary. Unlike other Astartes, every Grey Knight is a potent psyker. Yet, in the 10,000 standard years of Imperial history, no Grey Knight has ever been corrupted by the Ruinous Powers of Chaos."

GW have been very forthcoming with their game licenses, that I agree, however , the other media like the board games, books and movies is still guarded with the iron will of a Space Marine.

A buddy of my is producing laser cut cardboard tabletop buildings and scenery , that he sells online, not just for the GW games but for other 25 to 28 mm figures.

On his website he used GW models to show scale and ideas to use these buildings and scenery.
He actually received treads from them to remove these pictures from his website or he will be facing legal action…anyway, he then consulted South African lawyer and since their IP is not registered here, they could not really do anything too him…

eh?

From your copy and paste, first sentence

The Grey Knights are a secret, mysterious Loyalist Chapter of Space Marines

They are the most elite space marines chapter and they are secretive just like the Black Templars, Space Wolves and Dark Angels.

EDIT: in actual fact I'm struggling to understand why you think they are not elite and just secret. Reading your copy and paste it should be obvious !?

They are the most potent weapon of the Iniquistion, more so even than the Deathwatch

"Amongst a hundred men, there may be none fit for the Adeptus Astartes. Amongst a hundred Space Marines, there may be one fit for the Deathwatch."

Some more reading ....

Considering the role of the Grey Knights, potential recruits are put through even more stringent trials than other Space Marine Neophytes. Unlike most Space Marine Chapters, the Grey Knight recruits are often drawn directly from the Black Ships after they return to Terra they are then brought to Titan for testing. The most advanced bio-engineering and psycho-surgery available is utilised to condition the Neophytes, and each recruit must pass the six hundred and sixty six Rituals of Detestation, to prove that he is capable of withstanding horrors that would break even the greatest of 'normal' Space Marines.

I remember back in the Second Ed that the Grey Knights were only Terminators, each equipped with a powersword and Stormbolter and the 4+ Holy save that was rolled with two D6…

And they were a part of any Imperial based army, or any army that was taking on Chaos…Yes ever Orcs…and you were only allowed to field 5 per army.

But back then we only had the following armies to use –

Space Marines – only Ultra Marines, Blood Angels, Dark Angels and Space Wolves.
Eldar – but had the Harlequins.
Imperial Guards
Space Orcs…they had the best two weapons in the entire game … the Shock Attack gun and the Storm Boys, Orcs in WW2 German outfits and jump packs.
Teranites [spelling?]
And then Chaos

OK, I guess we are now on the same page? I hope

From your link

"Blessed with both superhuman physiology and the most advanced Imperial weaponry, the Grey Knights would be the elite of the Adeptus Astartes. "

My knowledge is dismissal in the Warhammer 40K universe but I thought the Grey Knights were the elite because

- They are all pyskers(aren't they special?), not one has ever succumbed to Chaos
- Serve the inquisition(I thought it was special)
- Advanced genetically engineered super soldiers picked from a group of already considered super soldiers

and they are Daemonhunters

^ That's correct Vice

- They are all pyskers and all more powerful than a normal space marine chapter's Librarian.
- They all have the Emperor of Mankind's gene seed and not a 'mere' Primarchs (The Emperor's sons)
- A more stringent selection and training phase
- the absolute best weapons and armour

PETA ASKS GAMES WORKSHOP TO ELIMINATE FUR

http://icv2.com/articles/news/view/3665 ... minate-fur

PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) UK has sent a letter to Games Workshop CEO Kevin Rountree asking that the company ban “fur” garments from all Warhammer characters. “While we appreciate that they are fictional, draping them in what looks like a replica of a dead animal sends the message that wearing fur is acceptable – when, in fact, it has no more place in 2017 than it would in the year 40,000,” the organization’s statement said. “[N]othing on the bloody battlefields of Warhammer’s conflict-ravaged universe could match the terrible reality that foxes, minks, rabbits, and other living beings experience at the hands of the fur trade.”

This is the first we’ve heard of objections to fur-wearing behavior in fantasy worlds, so it appears a new frontier has been breached.

No word from Games Workshop on whether the company will accede to the organization’s request.

Lol, I can't believe people even listen to this group of hypocritical mass murderers

Considering PETA'S history I think that Daemon looks like a saint in comparison to them
