Hey @Tea, any chance you can organise a copy of Silent Hill Origins for me? Doesn't matter which platform

@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

- To release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One in 2016
- PC release is "negotiable."
- 1-4 players
- Sacrifice ritual allows you to enter other people's games
- Bosses can "heat up," changing their form
- Sword fighting arts add special moves that can be equipped and changed

A follow-up press release from Bandai Namco's European arm has let slip that Dark Souls 3 will be the last game in the series: '“The DARK SOULS brand became a phenomenon thanks to amazing work from our dear partners FromSoftware and our very own BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment teams”. said Herve Hoerdt, Vice President of Marketing & Digital at BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe. “But above all, we are blessed to have such a supportive and loving community, and we are happy to dedicate this final episode to them!

Impressions of the Demo shown at E3

+ Closed, invitation-only demo for the media and personalities (no public viewing)
+ Hands-on demo coming at a later convention this year (edit: gameplay trailer will be at Gamescom)
+ Game has been in development for 2 years, Miyazaki came in halfway through the "prototype" phase - he worked on DS3 and Bloodborne at the same time, did this previously with DeS/AC4A
+ Miyazaki and some visual designers are the only members of the Bloodborne team that also worked on DS3
+ There is a co-director: Isamu Okano (Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor) "basically handling the mass production part as well as the human resource control"
+ Yui Tanimura (director of DS2) is on the team in a non-director role
+ 30fps (this is the target fps for the final game per Miyazaki)
+ Interconnected world ala DkS1, highly explorable, no world hub, Miyazaki personally took over level design
+ Slightly fewer maps than DkS2, but the maps have larger scale
+ No magic demonstrated in the demo
+ Hud was turned off and weapons picked up set to auto-equip for the demo
+ Kicking YES
+ Estus YES
+ Praise the Sun YES
+ DkS1 style parries/backstabs/movement
+ Roll-backstab YES
+ Summon signs YES
+ Ragdolls YES
+ Firebombs YES
+ Soul Level-based matchmaking
+ "Dedicated servers" ("Miyazaki also added that there would be “dedicated game servers” (which is how the translator described it), however I believe what they intended to say was that it’d function in the way Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls 2 worked. Servers would be used to make the connections between players, and then the encounters themselves would shift to peer to peer. Actual dedicated servers for the entirety of the encounter is such a fundamentally different, and important change that I simply can’t see them meaning anything other than what I just described, as you’d expect a change like this to be a big talking point or announcement or something they couldn’t talk about yet, rather than just an afterthought of “oh yea, there’s also this other thing”.")
+ The story concerns a Lord of Cinder, his resurrection, and a Dark Hero trying to defeat him. The world is shared with DkS1 and DkS2, it is not a new world. (Miyazaki said that the usage of “lord of cinder” was a general term, and not referring to any one individual)

Just spent the last 3 hours playing and soaking up everything about this game. So far from what I have experienced this is absolutely incredible, it feels so polished and responsive. The game looks and runs perfectly, it's really impressive seeing Dark Souls look this good, armor shines, dust particles fill the air when you smash crates and other breakable objects and the music is just incredible, what a score, from the opening title screen music you can tell straight away you are in for an amazing ride.

Anyway from what I have played this has zero similarities to Bloodborne, so again I have no idea why the comparison is coming up, this actually feels like Demon Souls 2. The game is so responsive it's actually kind of jarring, it takes every button press you do and actions it, so if you spam Estus flasks trying to heal don't be surprised if your character all of a sudden chugs another one. Demon Souls while not my favorite of the games always felt like the most polished title in terms of controls and responsiveness so this definitely feels like a Demons souls sequel, it feels like it has that exclusive polish. Combat feels exactly like it does in the previous Souls games, R1 is light attack, R2 is heavy attack, Triangle holds the weapon 2 handed, L1 is to block, Circle to dodge and run, X to action, use items or pick up an item and Square to use the selected item. R2 is different though, depending on the shield you have this is either a parry or a sort of power stance that will make the character 2 hand your weapon for a more powerful strike, it looks quite awesome but takes some time to get use to.

Estus is back in the game and a new Estus has been introduced, Ash Estus, not sure what this is for but I think it replenishes your magic bar. I played as a Knight, there were 4 classes to pick so i assume one of them is a magic class but only [censored] pick magic in a Souls game so never got to see this. Embers not replace humanity, when you are not human it looks like you have about 60-70% health when you use an ember to go human you get a bigger health bar. A cool aspect to this is your character starts to have embers fall off him as is if he is on fire, it's very subtle but easily recognizable and adds a nice little touch to the design.

The boss design who is called Dancer of the Frigid Valley is amazing, from the sound of the footsteps and breath to the design and music, everything was pretty much perfect, it was a rather easy fight however, I managed to defeat her on the first go but it left a big impression and was just awesome to watch. Some great lore comes in when you defeat the boss as well, the text Heir of Fire Destroyed comes up and I instantly started saying whaaaaat!!! Another Demons souls return is red eye/Blue eye knights, they are still tough and can easily kill you if you underestimate them. There was another special enemy I found later into the beta, who used a frost type weapon, this enemy was far more difficult than the boss and I died on my first encounter with it, also it inflicts a frostbite status, not sure what this did but I suspect we are going to get more elemental type weapons.

I really enjoyed this and will going back to the world tomorrow night for some invasions. Sadly the screenshot function was disabled but I took a few pics with my phone, same armor from Demons Souls if I am not mistaken and what looks like the Lord Vessel:

only [censored] pick magic in a Souls game

I don't enjoy magic myself in DS games, there is no way to switch from Hard to "easy'ish mode" in Ds other than choosing a magic Char...be it as it may, the above comment just made my 'Dumbest comment of 2015"

Played a bit of the beta again on Saturday night, was a bit too tired from the MKX tournament that day so when I saw that the beta was still the same from the previous night I didn't play too much. I did however dabble in some Jolly Co-Op and it ran great. There was a few invasions here and there and outside of one instance they all ran pretty well. The one that stands out was quite laggy in that hitting him resulted in just hitting air and only a few seconds later did the hit do stun and damage.

At one point I got summoned to some guys world at the first bonfire and we ran through the whole beta and killed the boss in about 10 minutes, very very easy in co-op doesn't feel like enemies are scaled for online in the beta yet. One thing I wish they would implement though is not returning to your world after beating a boss, it would be great to just be able to go as far as you can until you die. When you are summoned your health is decreased and you only get 5 estus flasks instead of the normal 10.
