It seems that Ed Boon has started some sort of countdown via twitter with an expected announcment date for 2 June 2014. This could possibly be a new Mortal Kombat, recently it was announced that Kiefer Sutherland did some voice over work for it a few months ago and may have leaked it's excistence by accident.
However it is also possible that it is a new Injustice title as that was also recently announced to be in development.

I love Injustice... Still play it and get alot of enjoyment out of it! I do love the MK series from MK1 on the Portuguese Cafe Arcade machine in the early 90's, but the value of the characters that Injustice had just felt superior. That being said, Netherrealm Studios have made so many great innovations with the fighting style games, this is exciting news for a next gen title!
NetherRealm Studios' Ed Boon continues to leave cryptic hints at a possible upcoming title over on Twitter. Just yesterday, Boon posted a picture of a car's back emblem that reads, "MKX."
The Mortal Kombat creator added a quick message that asks, "Hmmm... I wonder what the X stands for?" As many know, the last MK title, although simply deemed "Mortal Kombat," is actually the 9th game in the series. Could Ed be hinting at Mortal Kombat X (10)?
