Captain Marvel #13, an avenger dies at the hands of Captain Marvel. Cover 12 revealed a dark Captain Marvel with all the avengers passed out beneath her and Marvel has now confirmed that one will die in issue #13.

I'm looking forward to this arc and how it plays out, the series has been pretty good so far and keen to see what role Star plays in all this

This seems to be on fire at the moment, first CGC book on ebay just sold for R5000

Yeah sometimes 2nd prints hit the jackpot, Captain Marvel #17 being one of the more famous ones, this one is due to it's really low print run, only 1,624 copies were printed.

I'm interested to see how the book performs over the next couple months, depending on what they do with sleeper this could either just keep going up in value or drop to nothing.

Also wondering what Sleeper's first cover appearance will be seen as, since this came out the same day as #4 which had Sleeper on the cover as well.

Vengeance of Vampirella launches today, I've had these on pre-order and were ready to collect today. Set 25 years after the original Vengeance of Vampirella that started in 1994. First issue was great, looking forward to the rest:

This is on the show floor at New York Comic Con, not really a fan of this new CGC black label, doesn't look as slick but I'd love to own one of these.

It's a pedigree label, there is no difference between a 9.4 Blue label and Black label in terms of the comics condition, only certain people and books can get a black label as per CGC Pedigree Comic Book Collections https://www.cgccomics.com/resources/pedigree/


No random person can get one unless you purchase an already graded copy. It's just to show that the books comes from a pedigree collection.

It was announced at New York Comic Con that Star will be getting her own mini-series which is pretty big, character could see a big spike in popularity if the series turns out to be popular. In the meantime though Captain Marvel #8 which is the first appearance of Star in costume has seen an increase of 500% copies sold and makes it the Top 1 hot book this week.

Issue could gain quite a bit of value if she becomes a big character, similar to what happened to Kamala Khans first appearance where graded copies of that sell for between $500-800. Also a graded copy of Captain Marvel #8 just sold for $80 which is crazy. Star's first appearance was in issue 1 but her first in costume appearance as Star was issue 8, also the 2nd printing of issue 8 is also her first cover appearance so a good book to look out for.

Issue #1 has 2 covers so far, the first is by Carmen Carnero who also did the 2nd prinitng cover of issue 8 and the variant cover is by Jeehyung Lee which is the one I will be picking up. Issue #1 comes out in January 2020.
