@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

For niche titles it's okay. Problem is I play mainly bigger titles. Games are expensive enough as is. If I can save 50 bucks, use my ebucks (which some retailers allow) then I'm definitely going with another retailer.

Basically if I have to choose between paying delivery or not I'm going to go for not paying for delivery. On top of that, I find my Nexus orders are usually delayed. I don't think I've ever received a game on release day which is annoying when you're paying extra for delivery especially. And often you have to ask where it is which I don't think the customer should have to do, that's part of customer service.

@Woofels how is the stealth play? I decided to play a stealth character as well and it is bloody difficult. I dunno if there is a huge graphical difference between PC and console, but the PC version look gorgeous to me. I do know that the dev team did say that the PC version was the version to own if you have a choice.

@Magius

There is a noticeable difference in regards to the pc/console versions, if i could play it on pc i would aswell lol.

The stealth game is great, just make sure you get the right Augments first! Get Hacking up to lv2 atleast and then take the leg augments that let you fall a short distance. You can farm for credits in Derelict row, take the tranq rifle if you have and some ammo, knock the guys out look their guns, run to the dealer and sell it, managed too by 4 praxis kits in about 2 hours this way.

But yeah just around alot aswell and move cardboard boxes, alot of vents and passage ways are hidden behind these things.

Personally i found running and gunning harder, AI's aim is insane, 2 shots and they land a head shot lol

@Woofels yeah the AI is insane. In the first mission with the supposed kids, I got killed at least three times as their aim etc is unbelievably accurate!

I also found that there are multiple ways of getting around a section. In the first mission I died twice trying to disable 5 enemies and then noticed a passageway that enabled me to bypass all of them!

i started on Augmented...not THAT bad. actually I wouldnt know cause havent played normal.

although, I DID fail to save the hostages in the first mission, BUT that was because I took too damn long screwing around at sarif industries and ignoring David sarif shouting at me to hurry up

think I'm going to restart...

Once you actually run around abit and start looking there are alot of little details, and when you get to actual all out CG cutscenes it's a thing of beauty lol.

Also you dont have too restart, just enter the code and you will get your stuff, the credits are already built in when you start the game, the code just unlocks the missions and the weapons.

^^Good news and good news.

I'm sure if i play further it will get better, I watched some vids of Deus Ex gameplay and it seems to look a lot better further on in the game, so I'll see when I've played for around 6 hours and then make a "real" call on the game. Don't feel like playing until my internet is back online, once it's sorted i'll put some decent time into the game.

My internet is back up, I dl'd my content and restarted my game, saved the hostages but not the guys wife, @ Woofels, also got ghost in that mission lol. Man O'man, what an awesome game. I still think the graphics are a bit crappy, but the game gets so intense at times that I don't even concentrate on the graphics so it's something I can live with. Stealth is def the way to go as the AI is just too damn good with shooting you in the head lol! As Woofels said, trick in this game..LOOK AROUND, it makes difficult situations a lot easier if you spot the right stuff. Not a 100% sure on the hacking system (and watched the tutorial a few time, soz, I'm a dutchman), although I seem to get them all, yet i don't know how i'm actually doing it lol! So if anyone can simplify it for me it'll be great. This game is also a game that one struggles to put down, I still wanted to do stuff in DCUO last night but didn't quiet get to it (Now this hasn't happened in almost a year). So all in all...AWESOME GAME, I'm loving it, the aug upgrades, the way you communicate and the weapons are all fantastic, Longbow FTW!!!. Only gripe is the graphics, but like Teb said, I hope the fix it with a patch.

First impressions of the game so far:

Glad I got it at a cheap price lol

The game seems a bit slow so far with a maximum of like 6 enemies in an area, hope that increases later in the game.

The overall look of the game though isn't what I expected, honestly expected much better graphics but at least graphics don't make a game so easily overlooked when the gameplay is fun and fluid.

The menu screen is heavily cluttered though and can be daunting to go into it. They should of taken a page out of Mass Effects book. The game does ooze Mass Effect however so far it doesn't do it as well and as organized as Mass Effect does. The augmentation screen is kind of horrible and a lot of the abilities that I've seen so far don't really do anything for me, I have 5 of those upgrade points but haven't bought one Augmentation yet It's not a very inviting screen lol

Gameplay is awesome though, the environments are quite detailed but it's a shame how little you can interact with the environment. Would of also been cool too get some mirrors in bathrooms and such just a cool little added touch to open up the world though. There are a lot of pointless acts and pointless emails, too the point that I don't even read them or even bother hacking a machine.

On the point of hacking the game explains it like crap lol figured it out myself and it's far easier than how it's been explained. Could of handled that a lot better.

Lack of melee is a bit of a let down, would of liked some sort of up close attack that I can do without sneaking up behind someone. Really annoying when you open a door and some guy is there and right next to you but you can't do any sort of melee attack. I see something in the augmentation screen that says something about taking down multiple enemies but I guess that's most likely for stealth.

Pretty much playing the game as a shooter rather than a stealth game, feel the MGS does that far better and this should be played in the same vein as Mass Effect, go in and shoot The enemies are great shots but are totally stupid when you are hiding behind something, they empty a whole clip at you and then let you have a nice head shot while the reload or hide/reload/pop out too shoot again. Far more fun than doing stealth and I like that you get xp for kills and 10xp for headshots and sill get xp if you go through the vents as the game still thinks your playing stealth so in effect you getting double xp.

The story so far doesn't make me want too give a damn about any of that, will see how it picks up later in the game.

@Seraphim - Yep 1 bar. You need to eat energy bars etc to fill up the other bars. Devs probably figured that it would be a balance thing, but I think it is silly, they could've just made the refill on Bar 2 and Bar 3 of you get the augment for it run on a longer timer. I hate having to use my inventory slots for the bars as I use the cloak and the see through walls stuff quite a bit.

The Energy bar thing hasn't bothered me, still don't have cloaking or the ability to look through walls.

I mainly crawls through everything and take me chances hahaha

Get cloaking and upgrade as much as possible, but don't get the see through walls thing, it's fairly useless if you just pay attention to your radar. If you haven't already, I recommend getting punch through walls, which is almost never used to attack, but reveals loads of hidden paths and items.

I've pretty much maxed out my augments.
Not sure what to put the rest of my points into.

Also it seems going the non-letal stealth route gets you more exp and more praxis points than anything else.
And I so wanted to get to use my Longsword Whisperhead sniper rifle
Although the tranq rifle isn't that bad it's still not as much fun.

@Gooney

Im over the half way mark in the game iv gone for all my movement augments and all the hacking augments are maxed out. I dont really have an issue with sneaking around with out cloaking.

Moving heavy objects, being able to fall from high places with no noise, jumping over 3 meters & being able hack anything opens up most of the paths in the game, think iv got more "travel exp" than anything. So i usually take out my targets even with out the cloaking.

Think thats what i love most about this game, adapts to everyones play styles very well.

Absolutely love this game - Although it is a bit intimidating in regards to the amount of time you can spend on side quest, hacking and general apartment/location looting! I have also learned to run at least 6 different save files as you never know when you might want to undo a decision or consequence there of...

Recommend it to any sci-fi fan thats not intimidated by it being an fps where you don’t have to shoot everything that moves (unless you want to!)

Big tip - Take your time - Explore and get the "punching through walls" ability (even if you are playing stealth), very useful in finding hidden locations and Praxis points!

9/10 from me!

Just finished this last night, very cool game, but it was so short!? I mean I dont think I would go back and play it again. So I might trade it in. I mean you can save just before you make your final decision and see the 3 endings??? so yeah I am done with this game now.

My internet was down since Thurdsday so I played a bit of Deus...i just can't seem to play this game for more than 30 minutes and I'm as bored as anything. I think it's the whole RPG side of this game that bores me senseless, and it's my own fault, i know I'm not the RPG type of guy, yet I still go and buy the game and on top of it all I go and buy the Aug edition, anyway, i'll trade this in for Gears.
