For those of you that haven't played Cronos: The New Dawn, Nexus has it in stock again (and no I'm not shilling). It's a fantastic game and one of the best horror games I've played in a long time. Story is also amazing and gameplay is super fun as well. It's one of the best horror experiences I've had in a long time.

The illusionist: was a pretty enjoyable movie, but maan to be honest there were serious flaws and plot holes and all that with terrible stupid things that the characters did

which illusionist, the Ed Norton one or the new cartoon that up for an Oscar?

the Ed Norton one

Ninja Assassin - about damn time too. Great movie, cheesy as hell, ridiculous story, cartoonish looking blood and dismemberments, insane stunts and lame but awesome dialog, it was the perfect amount of over-the-top but very entertaining film.
Only complaint was that some scenes were very poorly lit, I can understand why, but it really made watching the expert stunt work and choreography difficult.

The Signal - A bit indifferent about this. Very peculiar but interesting structure, and a very surreal and inconsistent movie. Stopped watching it 2/3rds of the way through since the wife hated it, but I'll still finish it. Don't recommend it though, far too strange and unnecessarily nonsensical, but not in a good way.

She's Out Of My League - romantic comedy 101. Filled with just about every single couples comedy cliche you can think of, but for a mindless Sunday movie, it fills the gap.
If anything it was still quite a funny movie, some clever (albeit unoriginal) dialog, and all in all filled with likable characters.

Ninja Assassin was really cool, apart from the end. Everybody just forgot how to fight cause the yanks rolled in Hurrah style. WTH!
And yeah, Shes out of my league was quite funny.

Watched Way of The Warrior - Other than a really slow middle section and too much CG, it was quite cool, especially the fights, really digged em. .

Side note, saw the trailer for Sucker Punch. Looks freaking epic.

@DG: Massive robot samurai with giant gatling gun? Yes please!
Fingers crossed that they didn't shove every single good scene in that trailer, so far it's the most exciting release for me this year.

And yeah, lol'd a bit seeing the ninjas get all "Hurr durr" the second the army rolled in with their neon lights and "nuke everything that moves" attitude

On the note of trailers, saw the trailer for Ip Man 2, and True Legend yesterday. Both movies look like a blast.

@Surreal The Sucker Punch pics and trailer make the film look amazing, but Zack Snyder's films are often exercises in style over substance. 300 looks amazing, but has no story, but that can be excused based on the source as the comic looks great but is also quite thin on story. Watchmen was an exercise of pandering to fans. While I enjoyed it, he spent far too much time recreating the book without thinking about how to translate it to a different medium. While I enjoyed it, I thought he was far too faithful and the film looked better than it played.

I'll wait for a few reviews before I decide to watch Sucker Punch, just to be sure

Busy watching Alien vs. ninja

More cheese than a panarotti pizza, but strangely entertaining

Edit: This is friggin funny

Instead of "teenagers in the woods getting attacked by monsters" it's "Ninjas in woods getting attacked by monsters"
The monsters are godzilla - era anamatronics (dudes in suits)
The ninjas are actually rather good (karate wise)
There's some semi decent CGI in there
The whole thing looks like it's shot in some dude's back yard

Best laugh I had in ages

Best way to kill and alien: stab it in the taint

@Magius: have yet to be disappointed by Snyder's films since he started with Dawn of the Dead (still have to watch that owl flick though). So I'm positive I'll enjoy it at least

Watched Due Date last night, not as funny as I expected it, but decent. Need to see Galifiniakis in other roles as this one seemed far too similar to his Hangover role except less weird more idiocy.
For a Sunday night brainless flick it was good, but I'm glad I didn't pay money to see it.

Wanted to watch SPL and One Piece: Dead End but was too tired, must get around to them this week.

Burke and Hare pretty good, but as DP said it kinda wandered towards the end. Best part of the film was trying to recognise all the old actors/players from various 50's and 60's horror films. I picked up Christopher Lee and Ray Harryhausen. Not sure if it's the same Harryhausen as I thought that he died, but I could be wrong.
