Wife finished The Big C, and also watched the first few eps of Breaking Bad S1
From the few minutes that I saw of the Big C, it actually doesn't look that bad, taking a generally glum subject and attempting to put a more positive and approachable spin to it. Characters are interesting enough to watch, the dialog is good and the premise believable.
Not something I'll watch myself, but it seems decent if you can get over the fact that cancer still sucks no matter how you portray it (which is something that they do seem to touch on at least).
Breaking Bad is great so far, coincidentally also dealing with someone who learns they have cancer, but he takes it in a totally different way.
The show has so far taken a realistic view on drugs which is great (instead of glorifying it like say, 'that show who's name I can't recall now' :s), and I'm enjoying Walt's failed attempts at it.
Also watched Supernatural up to ep 16 of S6. Yeah...the 'fake' director in E15 put it best when saying "Season 6...*sigh*".
Amusing that they're able to recognize that though yet still keep making the show.
