@Catha - I get you - I still waited on the physical for Alan Wake 2. Was also improved by then with updates

Luckily we arent starved for games at the moment - too many releases

This all is starting to seem rather deliberate from publishers. Absolute scum

@Tea - it's pretty sad. Like Physical needs any more blows

Going to suck, navigating the minefield of spoilers. Already a 2 day early access perk for deluxe digital. Now a further 3 weeks.

I suppose it's better than the year that AW2 had to wait.

THE MOST VARIED DRIVING EXPERIENCE OF ALL TIME

Take part in a relentless ride to move up the ranks of the 510s, a gang grown around Detroit’s illegal street racing scene – making a rep for yourself on the underground-racing scene and ultimately taking down their activities all across the United States.
Maneuver through the bustling streets of New York City to lose the cops, cruise down sunny Miami Beach or trek through the breathtaking plateaus of Monument Valley. Each locale comes with its own set of surprises and driving challenges to master. On your journey you will encounter other players on the road – all potentially worthy companions to crew up with, or future rivals to compete against.

THE CREW DNA

NEVER DRIVE ALONE

Join a living, breathing world of car enthusiasts, where you always have someone next to you, ready to take on new challenges with or against you. Seamlessly jump in and out of each other’s games at any time, joining forces to overcome the toughest challenges: take down a rival faction driver on Las Vegas Strip, escape the police patrols across downtown Chicago, or confront an opponent crew on Florida’s beachfront highways. Make new encounters, cooperate with your friends, and beat their achievements when they’re gone. Build your crew of four drivers and take them in a thrilling ride through the entire USA.

LIVE ALL THE ADVENTURES OF DRIVING

The entire United States is your driving playground, covering thousands of square miles, from city to suburb, county to county, state to state, coast to summit. Discover what freedom truly means, without any barriers to restrict your car to the road, in a world of unprecedented scope and loaded with exciting challenges. Crush rival crews in illegal street races in Detroit, chase down that last Colorado collectible in the snowy mountain peaks of Aspen, beat everyone on the racing track, or run after a target in the water drains of Los Angeles. This is driving at its most exciting, varied, and open.

THE NEXT GENERATION of driving

A new generation of hardware requires new standards. Exclusively developed for the next generation of consoles, THE CREW offers a massive open world version of the USA, recreated with amazing graphics and level of detail. A world in which any driving fantasy can be realized – street, dirt, cross-country, circuit. A world brimming with life, challenges, and activities to keep you entertained for long. Continue the experience on iOS, Android tablets, and on the web. Keep track of your friends’ performances to beat their scores when you’re back in the game. Tinker with your ride and play it live to set new records

Prepare for the next job

Earn new vehicles as you progress and customize them, according to your style and driving preferences. Do you have the required mastery for an endurance race, or the lightning-fast reflexes to tackle an epic downhill rally? Collect cosmetic and performance parts - stickers, liveries, rims, bumpers, skirts, wings, hoods... Make your car unique and take it on any terrain - asphalt, snow, sand, dirt, grass... Anywhere you go, there’s always a friend to show it off to, and more people to beat

So apparently this is going to be an Always Online game much like World of Warcraft.

It was previously, resolutely, next-gen only, The Crew is now coming to Xbox 360 with all the features that its younger but bigger brother has, just with lower graphical fidelity.

However, the Xbox 360 is the only last-gen console to see The Crew.

Interesting. Cynically, I am thinking that MS backed the money truck up and dumped it all on lawn

^ probably only a few brief cases full of cash , Xbox360 was always easy to do low(er) res ports of PC games ... PS3 would need to be developed from the ground up

I'm going to pat myself on the back for the next 10 minutes ....

Ubisoft has offered its reasoning for why there will be an Xbox 360 port of its open world racer The Crew but no version for PlayStation 3 or Wii U.

It's due to the fact that the Xbox 360's hardware is more similar to that of its successor, Ubisoft said, which made it an easier choice of platform to port to.

So I've played for around 3 - 4 hrs last night and I must say, what a damn fun game!

This game has that proper old school NFS look and feel. It's a 100% arcade racer in every way, so if you are a simulation racing junkie, this game might not be for you. My favourite racing games are simulation games as well and only because arcade racers to me lost it's glory after NFS Underground 2 and Most Wanted on the PS2. After that I could not find a decent Arcade Racing game to play, so I turned to Simulation Racing games and started enjoying that more than arcade racers.

Well, The Crew to me has brought back that old school Arcade madness, the over the top speed and the ability to take corners at crazy speeds over curbs, missing cars by inches, taking out dustbins, street poles etc and they did it in a way that's very similar to most arcade racers, but with one BIG difference! They added RPG and MMO features, this to me takes this game to a lvl way beyond any racing game I have played!

The world is MASSIVE! And I mean MASSIVE! There is nowhere you can't drive, ok, you cant drive into someone's house, well you can, but it's gonna hurt lol! To group up in this game is stupidly easy! There's NO loading in the world itself, there is however some loading when leaving your map, but it's like 3 seconds, this is amazing for a game of this size! There are upgrades and Visuals for your car that's so awesome and SO many to choose form it's crazy! The cars and world don't have that "Real" look, but more of an arcade look, but it's done beautifully! The missions are also fantastic, especially the ones where you have to take down an enemy with your mates, but there's so many different ones and they are all cool!

There's not much more I can say about this game other than it's a lot better than I originally expected it to be! It's really just one of those games to kick back and enjoy with mates, nothing serious, just plain old FUN!!!

GET THIS GAME NOW!!! You'll LOVE IT!!!
