@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

For niche titles it's okay. Problem is I play mainly bigger titles. Games are expensive enough as is. If I can save 50 bucks, use my ebucks (which some retailers allow) then I'm definitely going with another retailer.

Basically if I have to choose between paying delivery or not I'm going to go for not paying for delivery. On top of that, I find my Nexus orders are usually delayed. I don't think I've ever received a game on release day which is annoying when you're paying extra for delivery especially. And often you have to ask where it is which I don't think the customer should have to do, that's part of customer service.

I've wanted to buy Rocksmith for a long time, but it looks pretty hard. I've NEVER played on a Guitar before, but it looks pretty cool. Would like to play it 1st before I buy it!

@OMG: in my opinion you can never have too many cables

@Morschee: I haven't tried it myself but if you're really interested in starting guitar you can't go wrong with Rocksmith. From the trailers and info I've gathered it sounds like a great product. I'll buy it eventually to learn some songs I neglected to learn earlier.

This looks like it takes massive amounts of deduction to perfect!
If it was not so expensive, i would give it a try. But to give it a "try" at that price, & not succeed...
We wait for your success story Tebulot

Hehehe
The two biggest problems I have at the moment at trying to find the frets with my left hand without looking at it (you need to keep your eye on the screen as well.)
Second it trying to develop "THE CLAW". Needed to grasp the neck of the guitar and still reach the E chord (top one) with four fingers at once!

@Teb
Both of those things come with time, there are still many pro guitarists who still look at the strings or frets while playing so don't worry about it. The claw is a different story, that's gonna take awhile, a lot of sore fingers, painful wrist until you find the position that's right for you based on the size of the guitar. Some guitars have shallower/wider necks/tails than others, while on some the frets are closer or further apart. For instance on my Ibanez the frets are pretty close together. And I learned to play on an acoustic first that had a wider neck and further spaced frets.

The amount f time you spend playing as well will determine how long it's gonna take for you to find the right claw. Lol.

@DEATHGIGAS: Thats some great advice right there! I too at times still look at the fretboard while i'm playing though not as much as i used to(depending on what i play though). I also learned guitar on an acoustic 1st(a nylon string to be exact although i prefer a steel string acoustic). Man i'd love to play in a band again someday. Right now time is against me but i'll get to it again someday.

Take it easy to learn it, get used to where the strings are at, where the chords are, and from there play it easy, play what you can. Once you feel comfortable with what you know, go a step further.

I found out that most people that do covers of other songs with intense solos use sound editing software to slow down the solo so that they can hear every note they should play. Then they learn it as it is, slow, then gradually speed it up. Once they reach the normal speed, they make it a bit faster. Then once you master the fast tempo, it will be super easy to play it regularly.

Found this video of two of my favourite guitar players. John Patrucci and Joe Satriani.

Just thought I would drop this here:
http://www.rscustom.net/

That is for the Custom Tool Kit, which let's you create your own songs for Rocksmith.

and here:
http://forums.smithyanvil.com/index.php
Is the forum for custom songs (You must register to see the packages)

The community is reasonably active and has created around 600 new songs for your pleasure. This includes music from K-on (Fwah Fwah time), the Final Fantasy 6 theme, the Double Dragon theme, and music from Queen, Metallica, Bloodhound gang ect

Oh, and the custom songs work for Pc, Xbox 360 and PS3

Why have you not ordered the game yet?

I just did, the guitar edition. I don't want to use my brother's guitar since he uses it almost each night to practice other stuff, and I want my own guitar. Now I really can't spend any more money for the next three months...

I'm definitely getting some of those custom songs.
