@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.
DarkwingDuck

For niche titles it's okay. Problem is I play mainly bigger titles. Games are expensive enough as is. If I can save 50 bucks, use my ebucks (which some retailers allow) then I'm definitely going with another retailer.

Basically if I have to choose between paying delivery or not I'm going to go for not paying for delivery. On top of that, I find my Nexus orders are usually delayed. I don't think I've ever received a game on release day which is annoying when you're paying extra for delivery especially. And often you have to ask where it is which I don't think the customer should have to do, that's part of customer service.

Seems like Killzone MP is finally going to be shown off and will be playable.
Order 1866 is only getting a 30 minute panel so probably not much new will be shown on it.

http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2013/08/14/gamescom-2013-is-coming/

and from Sony themselves:
The show will be packed with news on both announced and unannounced titles

One of which is the spiritual successor to Super Stardust HD from Housemarquee (who have 2 PS4 games in development with SCEE but only showing of 1 at GC)

Expect PS4 games. Expect PSV games. Expect GT6 to rock the PS3.

Just under 4 hours to go.

Retailers appear to be slashing the price of the PSV similar to that when it happened in Japan.

I suppose we can expect official confirmation of the price cut from Sony. Now we just need to see if memory cards receive the same treatment.

Lol WOW another fail for Vita. This thing is dead, feels like such a waste of money. If it weren't for Muramasa my Vita would never get used. Thing isn't worth R500 at the moment.

What a joke.

Played enough Vita games 90% of them don't interest me at all.

The conference was awful, next-gen at this moment will probably be the death of gaming for me but at least PS3 will go strong till about April next year.

I do wish more games came to the device. Seems like only Sony stuff is coming or Japanese games (which is not bad but limiting).

as for the conference... yeah, pretty standard affair. Big Indie push. Seems like the rumours that Sony would not announce anything major for PS4 because they feel they are going to sell out on launch stock seems true.

Makes me want to cancel my PS4 pre-order.

At least Rogue Legacy was announced. Rime also looks great and that's about it.

Then cancel it?

I mean, you pre-ordered it at the time with whatever games were announced .

Now more games are announced with Sony clearly stating that all their studios had PS4 games in development, but they just decided not to show them.

How exactly does that change anything from when you pre-ordered?

That means we gonna have to wait 2 years before a decent price drop, as the PS4 will only come out next year and then we need to wait at least another year for a nice price drop...thank god for PC's

As for the PSV, my mate (Single Farther) got retrenched in Feb, his son's PSP broke and they didn't have money to buy a new one, so I gave his son my PSV...by the looks of it, the PSV was a waste of money anyway, so no loss there I guess....

Rime looks awesome, everything else was just boring.

Next gen has a couple of things lined up for me like KH and FFXVI so either way I will end up getting a console but nothing is making go omfg I need this right now.

Can wait a couple of years, PS3 still has lots coming to it and still plenty I haven't played/ finished.

Plus got my Wii U which has alooot coming for me next year

Infamous looked good.

Killzone looks really good. MP going to be a nice chance of pace from the likes of COD. It is also the next gen game with the most pre-orders atm in the US, so that is surprising.

Lots of indie games... seems Sony sees no point in tipping the rest of their hand.

PS4 event for Japan/ Asia on the 9th followed by the Sony TGS conference, so more stuff to come.

Infamous has bored me to tears after number 2 so I just cannot get excited about second sun and never been a killzone fan.

Indie stuff is cool but 99% of indie games I get on pc, so yeah not much showing for me right now lol

I would but AWX is an evil place and if I waited any longer I would probably spend all the credit. Then I would end up paying for a PS4 lol

Honestly neither launch lineup looks all that strong (and Microsoft looks to be offering a better initial lineup) tho at the moment I'm still edging to PS3 due to features, indie-support, DRM policies etc (even though Microsoft has about turned on just about everything now). It looks like both Sony and Microsoft are simply relying on established names and sports franchises to start with (I'm still skeptical about Watchdogs). I think I'll be watching the first few months to see what's announced before jumping into the next gen.
