Tetsuya Takahashi was the director of Xenogears and he is the founder of Monolith software. Looking at the artstyle for X the fact that it's a Xenogears game could actually be accurate and Square could have a finger in that pie.

Xenoblade is also placed in the same series as the other Xeno series.

So I wouldnt write of X being Xenogears just yet.

What do these 3 all have in common besides Takahashi being involved with them? The IPs belongs to 3 different companies.

Just saying. It is extremely unlikely the game is called Xenogears, especially since its believed that Gears and Saga are connected even though Takahashi himself stated that they are not because the IP belongs to SE.

Na nothing in common they all just fall under Takahashi's Xenoseries. All of them share similar themes, art style, worlds etc...

I just don't see why Square Enix having some part of it being unlikely. They had a hard knock recently with titles, Xenogears story was proposed as FF7 until Square decided it was too dark but let Takashi and his team make it under the name Xenogears.

After Square turned down the idea of a sequel too it, Takashi and most of his team left and gave birth to monolith software.

Square Enix these days just publishes a ton of games, they know there is a following for Xenogears, they saw the praise Xenoblade got. To me seems like good money for both of if X is indeed Xenogears origins.

Because that right there would be a console seller for alooot of people I know. It's also not like Square has for lack of a better term console loyalty these days like with PS1 and PS2.

The game is developed by Monolith. They are owned by Nintendo. The game is published by Nintendo. SE has nothing to do with the game.

I fail to see why they would just give the IP away to be used if it is as popular which you say it is.

I just do not see it being Xenogears. Nothing suggests any involvement by SE, nor does anything suggest the Xenogears trademark has been passed onto Nintendo.

If it is Xenogears then that is great. I just dont see it happening.

Eh even if it was just licensing fee's it would basically mean money for Square for doing[censored] all. I just think looking at the over all style of the mechs and the characters watching that trailer it fit's so damn well.

But this is also the mad ravings of a xenogears fanboy praying and hoping lol.
