I'm considering purchasing insurance for my new PlayStation 5. I've heard mixed opinions about whether it's worth the cost. Has anyone had experience with PlayStation insurance? What are the pros and cons?
Specifically, I'd like to know if the coverage is comprehensive enough to justify the expense and if it has been useful for anyone who faced issues like accidental damage or theft. Any recommendations on the best providers or plans would also be appreciated!

Its not worth it. My Xbox and TV got hit a few years ago by lightning and it insured. The insurance company only paid me out about out one third of the value as I was advised that the items was “outdated”, and they only pay the currently market value of the items. If I can recall I got about R700 for the TV (was a 32” HD ready TV) and R500 for the XBOX360. Like I said it was a good few years back.
Best is to take that money you going to pay to the insurance company and dump it into some like a 32-day notice account each month.
