Hey @Tea, any chance you can organise a copy of Silent Hill Origins for me? Doesn't matter which platform

@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

How much would "free delivery for orders over R 1000" affect your decision to more purchases from Nexus Hub?

So recently I have been playing Indies on PS3 and Vita and I have found games that are so fun, you lose an entire weekend just playing them...

Like CastleStrom,Don's Starve, Xeodrift and Titan Souls...

What other indies on all and any console is worth looking at?

Don't know of any console specific indies, but last year and this year so far I've played.

Undertale
Banner Saga
Her Story
That Dragon Cancer (Don't play it, its just too depressing)
This war of mine
Hotline Miami 1 and 2 (My favorite indie titles)
Darkest Dungeon
Stanley Parable and the Beginners Guide
Gone Home
Apatheon
Volgarr the Viking
Towerfall Ascension

Most of these I've played on PC, but a couple of them are on Playstation 3/VITA/4 aswell

I'm with BlazenTech on getting Undertale It's for PC/Mac only but like most indie games it isn't resource heavy.

Depending on how you feel about "Walking Simulators" as these kinds of games are called. I mostly liked it cause I knew what I was getting myself into before hand. Walking around the house looking at random objects in the middle of the night can actually be a lot of fun if you let it be. I wouldn't say its a good "game" but as an interactive experience its ok.

Again, your mileage may vary.

Nuclear Throne - it's been out on PC early access for a while, but recently they released the full game and now it's also on PS4 and Vita.
It's a rogue-like shooter with random generated maps and a large array of upgrades.
In my opinion, it feels like a game that truly tests your quick reflexes and laughs at your poor decisions.

I also recommend Spelunky

I'd second this. From a gameplay perspective, you're simply spending 2-3 hours solving some pretty basic puzzles to unlock rooms in the house and eventually make your way to the attic. It is however a really well realized house, it feels authentic and is full of small details to uncover that really provide more context for the primary plot. It has excellent narration which helps convey the story and nails the atmosphere of being completely alone in a house on a stormy night which can make the exploration quite tense.

As it has little replay value, I'd suggest trying it if it's released at a decent price or alternatively grabbing it on sale.

Are great!

Been thinking of getting shovel knight but for some reason i just cant seem to press buy... really worth it? love NES and SNES Era games. Xeodrift is allmost like that mixed with Metroidvania but short.

I really enjoyed Steamword Diggs and waiting for the followup to hit PS. Typo Man on Wii U is great!
