Sunset Overdrive is an always changing, open-world shooter set in the not-so-distant future. A catastrophic event has left your city overrun by mutants. While the majority perish or transform, you flourish. It turns out your calling isn't picking up trash or serving food, it's mutant destruction. With an arsenal of kick-ass, over-powered weapons and a knack for traversing the city with hyper agility, it's not the end of days for you. Your story is just beginning.

Welcome to the awesompocalypse
I've had my eyes on Sunset Overdrive since it was announced and as we all know it's made by Insomniac think Resistance, Ratchet and Clank and unfortunately FUSE (We'll forget it exists)
Well Sunset Overdrive is an open world sandbox and it's huge. The story starts with an Energy drink that turned the whole city into like Energy Drink Zombies. And it's up to you to clean it up. And blast, freeze, hit and bomb your way to awesomess. You create your character and there is a lot of customization options. So you're bringer of doom looks really good, colourful and like an all round bad ass.
Sunset Overdrive is also the best Tony Hawk game never made. You can grind all around the city and it never get's old. Grinding, Bouncing, Wall Running etc. This game is crazy.
You get a wide assortment of missions to do. From fetch quests to defending a point. It might sound like the typical boring things in every open world. But Sunset Overdrive makes it so much fun to do. There are also a wide array of weapons and amps(amps can be equipped to your weapons, character etc.)
Graphically the games looks amazing. Good to see a change from the grey, brown space marine settings and colour pallets. It's vibrant and colourful. It's so much fun. And the game is just so unique. Think Dead Rising, GTA and Saints Row all at once.
There are also so many collectible that will keep you busy for a long time. The music is also great from Punk Rock to Death Metal \m/. It can be gory at times. But not blood gory. Orange zombie gory and there is a lot and believe me a lot of bad language. But it can always be toned down in the settings menu.
Sunset Overdrive is unique, fun, amazing looking and the game runs solid. Great draw distances, great environments. A lot of work has gone into the game. And it's what can be expected from Insomniac. Yet another great Xbox One exclusive. Microsoft is really hitting Sixes with these exclusives.
I can highly recommend this to anyone looking for a really really fun time.
