@vernon - So, it seems there might be licensing issues on AOT 3's local release - We are seeing if we can get it Imported but sometimes that gets stopped at customs before it even gets here if there is a licensing conflict.

Recently had that with Halloween Collectors edition (had to go back to supplier as they werent allowed to export it out of UK).

@meh - we do get from Limited run as well - just like Susper Rare games but often we wait for confirmation if they will do a UK (PAL) release . But if you ever know for sure you want and dont mind the limited run USA edition, please PM as we will gladly bring it in for you.

We presently have requests on the new He-man game from limited run (collectors edition.

Clear River games is release a std edition UK version which we will also list shortly

Any chance of getting more imports like limited run games? I'm super interested in terranigma's release but I don't want to deal with importing myself

Thanks for always having a diverse selection of games to choose from, my personal opinion is physical is always best.

On that note @Tea, can we perhaps get an ETA on that Attack on Titan 3 Steelbook, heart wants to be dedicated in December

Also - A note for everyone that makes use of the import niche titles we orffer. We are in the process of adding a tag to all import items so its clearly definied when a title is not supplied locally, rather is imported.

We always support local releases - but were those releases are cancelled or the title is not sold locally, we will do our best to provide you with those import releases

Ubisoft Pokes Fun at EA in Assassin's Creed Odyssey

by Sam Aberdeen on 12 October, 2018

Last year, the heated debacle around Star Wars: Battlefront II caused the gaming community to actively go against Electronic Arts' implementation of microtransactions and loot boxes. Naturally, EA went to its defense by posting a thread on Reddit that explains the "intent is to provide players with a sense of pride and accomplishment for unlocking different heroes".

Of course, this wasn't very well-received by the community at the time and many didn't take kindly to EA's "pride and accomplishment" as it justified a pay-to-win scheme that didn't have any place being in Battlefront II. The backlash prompted other companies to start taking action against EA around this time, most notably Bethesda who launched their mock-campaign to "Save Player 1" after EA dismissed single-player games, saying that they weren't what gamers wanted anymore.

Now, Ubisoft has chipped in with their own unique way of poking fun at EA, this time through a little Easter egg in Assassin's Creed Odyssey. A YouTuber recently discovered a quest in Crete; the first objective was to collect "pre-trial" tokens in order to fight the Minotaur. If the player chose, they could bypass the pre-trials and go straight to purchasing the tokens with in-game money. One of the token holders, however, doesn't offer the option to buy the tokens.

The player has to then speak to the holder, to which he asks Kassandra if she wants to "pay to win?", then berates her by claiming "Where is your honour? Where is your sense of pride and accomplishment?".

It's hard not to see that this was intentionally directed at EA, playfully taking a jab at their previous controversial statement. With Ubisoft quickly turning around their own company and steering away from the more controversial subjects within gaming, such as loot boxes, this nudge-nudge to gamers is certainly hilarious and breeds that kind of friendly (or maybe not-so-friendly) camaraderie.
