Marvel Allowed Avengers: Infinity War Writers to Kill Off Heroes
We might be in for some heartache when Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters this April. In an interview with Toronto Sun, Infinity War writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely said Marvel gave them permission to kill off heroes as they see fit.
“Marvel allowed us big swings. So, there wasn’t a mandate that everything had to get tied up in a neat bow so that they could continue with another one and another one,” McFeely explains. Marcus went on to say, “If there’s a good story reason for it they were open to anything. We didn’t want to cut off a flower just as it’s beginning to bloom. But a nice big flower? Maybe.”
If you look at the "nice big flowers" of the MCU, a couple of names pop up - Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, Thor, and Hulk are a few others. Heroes like Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, and Black Panther should be relatively safe - at the moment.
Avengers: Infinity War releases on April 27th worldwide. Be sure not to miss it to see who gets the axe! Or, uh, gauntlet.

I see the movie playing out as follows…Thanos gets the completed Gauntlet and wipe out most of the heroes, have the population on Earth, destroy the moon and the battle ends on Titan with the Guardians and Thor attempting to stop Thanos…
In Avengers 4, Strange use the time stone, before Thanos gets hold of it and send the Avengers back in time to retrieve the stones before Thanos gets them. The Avengers defeats Thanos and in the process they get Kang interested in them as the Avengers now got the time traveling ability.
