Voted the other day, was a tough choice between Metal Gear Solid and Resident Evil 2 but went with Metal Gear Solid.

Rival Schools. voted for Project Justice as best Dreamcast game a while back. Might as well vote for its predecessor as well

Also Resident Evil 3 and Fear Effect 1/2 are also great games.

I'd also go with MGS, Tomb Raider 1 is very close though...

Really tough choice, some amazing games there.
But if I had to pick one, Tenchu 2 Birth of the Stealth Assassins.

Really a tough one but eventually chose Resident Evil 2 and Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver

Was going for Tomb Raider 2, my first game on PS1 (having played Tomb Raider 1 on a Saturn rented form our local video store), but Soul Reaver was always the best of TR environment puzzles coupled with cool combat and great story.

Resident Evil 2 was also a rental at first, and before I had a memory card, so spent a few weekends doing a "no save" run to finally complete the game with all characters A & B. Only ended up playing the Directors Cut of the first game after RE3.

I never really played PSOne games, but I did play FFVIII, legit not emulated, on PC so my vote would lean that way.

Spyro 2 (actually bought this again for my Vita the other day)
MGS 1 (also played through again recently on Vita)

I never played Resident Evil 2, but I spent A LOT of time playing Resi 3 as a kid, so will have to say that

Anyone ever play / remember Lifeforce Tenka? That was pretty fun, although the controls were hell (R1 and R2 to look up and down).

I must say though that there was a point where I played AND COMPLETED Spyro 2 everyday for an entire December school holiday and then some.

Beside this, also liked Command & Conquer Retaliation, and all Crash Bandicoots, and Abe's Oddysee...it's so tough to make ONE choice
