Wow no thread on this? WTF, just saw this game now and it looks awesome, how can 3DS players not be talking about this?

Mirror of Fate was announced in May 2012 for the Nintendo 3DS as a side-scrolling Action-adventure game. That will be releasing in March 1 2013.

The game will feature four playable characters who will fight Dracula in his castle in different time periods. The game starts 26 years after the original Lords of Shadow game with Trevor Belmont, who is on a quest to destroy his father, Dracula, who was once Gabriel Belmont. Later parts of the game will feature his descendant Simon Belmont and Alucard. Gabriel Belmont will be playable in a short prologue set before the events of Lords of Shadow. The events of this game will lead up to the upcoming Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 console game.

i love castlevania as much as the next guy but why is this shamelss god of war clone castlevania is getting a sequel on 3DS i will never know. at least this one looks a bit closer to originals and i heard alucard is in there so thats cool, but i'll take my Order of ecclesia over this anyday. Lords of shadow had its game, no one liked, i wish they'd just move on. and why do all developers think that making everything 3D makes stuff better these days

I couldn't agree more with Ragna. I think this game looks absolutely horrendous. When I heard of this being announced, I thought "Yay DSvania", but then I heard that it was Lords of Shadow, and that its gameplay is basically LoS in 2D. Then I stopped caring. >.>;

Don't know what you guys are smoking, it looks just like the DS castlevania games in terms of look and feel.

It's just got updated graphics and gameplay, it's a 2 D side scroller like the older games and doesn't play anything like the console version.

The difference in gameplay from those two videos is pretty contrasting imo.

hope they release this as a psn or xbl game later - loved lords of shadows - sad this was a 3DS game...

3DS game Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate now has a formal 8th March 2013 release date.

Holy hell at the lip syncing in that trailer... I know it might be a presentation style but looks poor...

8th March is a good date am sure the price drop in the 3DS would have kicked in by then. Game is looking so good.

Very cool game from the impression I got from the demo. Great range of moves, upgrades, smoothness in moving, dodging and air-dashing. Feels like Lords of Shadow mixed with old Castlevania and side scrolling. Looks like some ckill may be needed.

Totally a game to get.

I gotta wait a little close to a week to get the Demo...found out its only in the EU eShop at the moment and I have the american one. Oh well...time for youtube.

Simply change your machine location settings to EU to access the EU store.

I had my machine setup for SA and then changed it to European to get access to that store, haven't had any problems downloading and playing demos.

South Africa and Europe are both PAL regions, America is an NTSC region.

This year's 3DS Castlevania adventure Mirror of Fate is slated for an HD treatment on PS3 and Xbox 360 in October, according to a leaked retailer listing for a Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Collection.

The upcoming anthology will contain Castlevania: Lords of Shadow; its two DLC expansions, Reverie and Resurrection; Mirror of Fate HD; and an exclusive demo for the upcoming Lords of Shadow 2.
