I think they just coincidentally gave us the worst footage, I mean they took away sonics fast lol

thats possible, but why would SEGA give all the journalists bad looking b-roll footage? keep in mind the game the journalists played was running worse than the footage they were given.

right so I forgot I played this at TGS.

I cant believe I waited in line for 2 hours for this. I played 2 demos.

The first is the sort of race track you see in the trailers. Its pretty basic, with a lot of it being automatic moving. You can shift with left and right trigger but you cna also move with the analog.

Let me get this clear: the analog movement is way better than the trigger buttons since you can choose the degree Sonic changes lanes, as opposed to the trigger that just make him change lanes: this gives some sense of player skill. The problem is that never once does this ever work... the courses are not designed for this with Sonic not moving fast enough for many of the obstacles meaning you need to use the triggers which makes for more boring gameplay.

I also got to do the Robotnik boss fight. Gameplay feels slow. Your character actions are extremely basic. The whip attack is annoying to use. And even though the Robotnik fight goes through 3 phases, each phase is 100% identical to one another.

Now much to say except that this was the poorest demo I tried at TGS. The fundamentals that underlay the game are fine, but the entire execution feels off, especially for a dev team with the experience of Ratchet and Jak under their belt.

Yeah I decided a while ago to start ignoring this game, everything about it looks clunky as hell, and why they chose cryengine which isnt really supported on the wii u

I now think of this as the sleezy tie-in game because the tv show itself doesnt look bad
