@IkariX it's a good thing IDGAF about your opinion then, lol
It may surprise you to know that other people have different experiences to your own. But I know that concept may be too far out of reach for you.

As for Nexus, I don't know why you ban people that have legitimate points relating to polls you create. None of what I said was out of line, but clearly you prefer sycophants like IkariX on the forum instead of customers who have legitimate criticism of your logistics (which you make us pay for).

Nexushub has the best customer service no doubt. I have had other retailers that don't care about restocking on sold out titles but yet nexushub helped get me townfall steelbooks and control resonant steelbooks even though they were sold out. No one cares about delivery fees as long as you get the physical game in good condition like I have, especially steelbooks which can be fragile.

@DarkWingDuck

I'm going to call [censored] on your post. I've been buying from Nexus since the AnimeWorx days from about 2008. I have literally never ever had bad customer service from NexusHub. So you are being disingenuous. I don't think you appreciate the great lengths they go to, to get these games for us. But enjoy your other retailers and their[censored] service.

MrOde very good point! I'd pay extra for express overnight shipping.

HaseoVII SAME regarding FF7Rebirth (best believe I preordered Revelation though )

I am such a huge fan of Nexus Hub - no one else in SA imports the niche titles - I used to need to get my stuff from Amazon Japan/US

My backlog is so big I don't care how late I get my orders lol haven't even played FF7 Rebirth or even Stellar Blade yet, but that's just me.

I'd actually go even further and say do standard free shipping for all orders above R1000 but allow an express shipping option/add on for those that want to pay extra. I would gladly pay extra to get whatever I ordered the day after I order it.

Shipping costs on games? What's that?

I'm not looking to start a bad thread about this, I was really just curious because I misclicked the tab on the left and stumbled upon the poll (I'd never clicked it before).

I am fiercely brand loyal to Nexus Hub and I don't care too much about not getting a game day-1. I know other names like BT and Koodoo ship earlier so you get it on release, but I'd never be "that" excited that I must play day-1, life happens
On the other hand, paying an extra R150 every time you order a commercially available title does add up, and I would not blame the average consumer for trying to save some money.

I know I'd feel less off about it if there was a price match, and free delivery at a certain threshold.

I mean if I can save money, why wouldn't I?

Are there circumstances where I would pay that extra without thinking twice about it, yes. In general there's little reason to do so.

That said, touching on Darkwing's point of eBucks, payment options feel like a lot bigger point than the R50 delivery. Lot of places offering rewards, pay later, etc. Those are big pull points for customers.

For niche titles it's okay. Problem is I play mainly bigger titles. Games are expensive enough as is. If I can save 50 bucks, use my ebucks (which some retailers allow) then I'm definitely going with another retailer.

Basically if I have to choose between paying delivery or not I'm going to go for not paying for delivery. On top of that, I find my Nexus orders are usually delayed. I don't think I've ever received a game on release day which is annoying when you're paying extra for delivery especially. And often you have to ask where it is which I don't think the customer should have to do, that's part of customer service.

So firstly, my question, who enjoys remakes of old games on a newer gen consoles.

And then, which remakes do you wish was released on the x1 or ps4 instead of the 360 or ps3?

FFX/X2 remake I wish was rather done on the ps4.

I dont care about remakes/ remasters of games unless they are of games I never played but wanted to and never got the chance. However, that is pretty much 0 at this point.

If there were to be a remake of some sort that I would play, it would be FF7. Cant think of any else.

Granted, I would take FF12 Zodiac Edition if a PSV version was made.

I bought FFX/X2 because I loved the original, but generally I stay away if I played them already. For guys who never played the game then it is a good deal, but only if done properly like GTA V,Halo: MCC or FFX/X2. If it is a cheap port, then no they are not worth it.

Like I said, if I haven't played the games then they are great as they are a cheap way to replay the games with updated controls and visuals, but if not then they aren't worth the money they ask for them.

I don't mind remakes in fact I would love some I have issue with remakes of games that have barely been out a year and asking for the same price or more than they originally launched at.

I bought 2 HD remasters back on PS3, each cost me R250. Devil May Cry collection and the God of War collection.

I am super excited for the remake of REmake coming next year, one of my all time favorite games and it will be great to see what they do with it some 10 odd years later. Cannot wait for that.

As for remakes I would love, an Onimusha bundle, that would be amazing, they don't even have to remaster the damn thing just put it on a PS4 disc and I will buy it

I'd also love to see Super Metroid remastered in HD for Wii U, I don't think my heart could take that one though

Speaking of the GoW Collection, did you get the Origins Collection too? I want to play Ghost of Sparta and wondering if getting the PS3 version is worth it over the original PSP.

Should just make the distinction between remake and HD upgrade.
Remakes are entirely different things

Resident Evil on gamecube was a really good remake.
The remakes of Monkey island 1 and 2 were also fantastic.
Twin Snakes was also very good.

The Oddworld: New n' Tasty is the best remake I've played.. right after RE1 remake.

No only the original 2 games, after playing that it killed all future HD remaster purchases for me and I stayed away from the rest.

Ghost of Sparta wasn't even that great on PSP 'so doubt much would change on PS3. I wouldn't mind giving Chains of Olympus another go, that was a good game.

hmmm wait you sure? COO was really short. I recall it being fun but not amazing by GoW standards anyway.

I think it was 5 or 6 hours long, best GoW game by miles.

I don't mind remakes, since I had very few PS2 games. Just off the top of my head, remakes that I have bought:

- God of War Collection
- MGS Collection
- Sly Collection
- Jak and Daxter Collection
- Ratchet and Clank Collection (had played all 3, but wanted to play them again)
- Final Fantasy X/X-2
- Kingdom Hearts 1.5
- Have already pre-ordered Kingdom Hearts 2.5

So yeah, I like remakes I am a bit annoyed that 2.5 is coming out for PS3 and not PS4, but at least I finally get to play these games.

If the remakes are done well and sticks to the source material then I'll get it. But slightly getting tired of remasters. I want new IPS.

Unless the remaster Shadow Hearts 1,2 and From the new world for PS3. I'll get it in a heartbeat.

Here's hoping we get a remaster of all the Mass Effects. That would be great.

I WANT NEW IPS!!!!!!
