As cool as game sharing sounds, I don't think trusting random people online with your stuff is a good idea.
Think of it like this, Chad borrows your Crash Bandicoot 3 disk during grade 5, keeps making up excuses to keep it longer, as the years go by eventually you matriculate, you then realise that he probably still has it, using your CSI skills to track him on Facebook and says that he gave it back to you. Goddammit Chad, no you didn't.

@mezoli - only done it on Xbox One but from what I can tell, you only want to do it on PS4 with close friends you can trust. Some articles suggest you can even share PS+ status and play online together, but some things like DLC or pre-order are not shared. Also if you buy something from PSN , it will only download to the current primary PS4.

Unfortunately, by making someone else's PS4 the primary one, they have the potential to disable other listed devices as secondary. If that happens, and you are denied access to digital titles on your PS4, resetting the primary PS4 status requires contacting Sony support and can take a few months.

You can reset all your devices yourself without needing to contact Sony. You do it through the SEN site but it can only be done once every 6 months.

If you are going to game share on PS4 never give out the password unless it's a new account you have both setup for the purpose of game sharing. Whoever you are game sharing with, if it is your main account I would suggest logging onto their PS4 and setup your account yourself. That way they cannot do anything except log into the account to get a shared game if it was purchased there. If the person is in another country and you don't have access then just enable 2 step authentication, that way they will be unable to make any changes without you sending them the authorization code. If done correctly everything is shared including PS+ and DLC, you will also be able to play the same game online together with no issues.

The only negative I have found with it is manual downloading on the secondary account as well as manual uploading of save data to PS cloud. Secondary accounts also need to be online in order for the licenses to activate. Other than that everything works exactly like it does on a normal machine and the benefits far outweigh a little manual processing if it's something you are interested in doing that is.

What you do is

you give him access to the account
then once he as added the acount i change my pw and only i will download the games to the ps from the web
that way my account stays intact and i am using 2 step verification as well

@mezoli - So they would have to put the PS4 into offline mode to play your titles? I was under the impression they require an internet connection to authenticate the games, which should in turn check the user details are up to date?

Not in offline mode at all
the user doesnt need to be logged in at all

he will get the titles and download it,
its actually very straight forward
