Nintendo 3DS Thwarts a Cheating Husband

So today is the seventh day the Nintendo 3DS has been on the market in North America. It featured a bevy of launch titles, glasses-free 3D, and now can apparently catch a cheating spouse.

A Los Angeles area woman named Karen had suspected her husband of infidelity for a while, but he would erase text conversations and generally cover his tracks. She didn't want to hire a private investigator or install cameras, so she decided to employ the Nintendo 3DS.

Her husband had purchased one on launch day, but the receipt was for over $500, roughly the cost of two 3DS consoles. Assuming the second 3DS was for the mistress, she took matters into her own hands.

“I read online that the 3DS was going to have this Street Pass function, and it would allow your system to hook up to another person’s system. So I secretly bought one.”

She placed her 3DS in the closet for a few days, “I came home from work yesterday and saw nothing, but on April 1st, my 3DS’ Street Pass was lit up and saw the bitch’s Mii on it.”

How about that? It does glasses-free 3D AND busts cheating husbands! Next for the Nintendo 3DS: colonizing Mars and curing cancer. Come on, 3DS, you can do it!

1st 3DS game to get my money?

On another note, it's a game I'd really like to get.
The 3DS Aqua blue looks pretty nice.
But unfortunately, gonna have to wait.

Played with one at IC over the weekend (Pilotwings) the 3D was very impressive though it did strain my eyes a bit though. I am really, REALLY tempted now.

Just played the 3DS + SF4

Glad to note my eyes did not get strained from full 3D.
However, the game looked rubbish, and I eventually turned of the 3D so I could actually see the game as crystal clear as possible.

the 3D looked good on some of the menu app things: I guess because there wasn't a lot happening

When this becomes much cheaper maybe I'll pick one up, for now the price does not warrant a 3D feature that reminds me why I dislike 3D films at Ster Kinekor.

Pass 'n Play

Pass 'n Play is a reoccurring event in South Africa where Nintendo DS and 3DS owners get together in malls across the country for a session of StreetPassing, FriendCode exchanges and local multiplayer gaming.

The first set of events will take place on the following days:

7 May 2011:
Sandton City - Outside Nedbank
Canal Walk - Outside the Nintendo Kiosk

14 May 2011:
Menlyn Mall - Outside Nu Metro

The events will take place between 12:00 and 14:00 at each venue.

Same here I have a regular 3DS, and I've been thinking of buying that Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds 3DSXL, but since the New 3DSs are coming out I'll save up & get myself a New XL

That NES 3DS looks absolutely horrid. The case looks like a NES controller? what a stupid decision. I hope the inside at least resembles a NES controller.

as for the New 3DS, I hope its at TGS, cause I think the C Stick looks rubbish. But im concerned its jus a small stopgap for 2 years before the proper 3DS successor releases.

Only if I could sell mine would I get that one. The same would apply to the new 3DS IF it were backwards compatible. Problem is, is that it doesn't support DS and current 3DS titles Although I see that the rumour mill reckons that it might work as a second WiiU gamepad which would be cool.
