Sony is in their "provide shareholder value". So they will squeeze their customers for as much as they can. Sure, these companies need to make money to exist. But alienating the loyal fanbase has never worked out long term for any company.
It's just sad to see Sony the way they are now. They are basically alienating everyone to please the American market. People don't hate Americans enough to be honest.
Hulst is a freaking clown and Jim Ryan was just an idiot. I'll never forgive him for closing Studio Japan.
Also, their first party games went from being the gold standard in games to a joke of the industry. (Astrobot excluded)
@IkariX: Sad to see a brand I've trusted for so long just keep getting worse and worse..
Sony got a new CFO a while back and I don't know if theis is true but she's apparantly an extreme bean counter to whom spreadsheets numbers are more important than anything else. So that explains some of the problems.
Then there was Ryan and Hulst having studios of single player games focus on live service stuff, ect. So many mess ups its crazy
For those who didn't know and haven't updated yet. Nintendo released a new firmware today. Adding VRR to docked mode now as well. So we can enjoy our games with VRR on our TVs(if the TV supports it).
Nintendo is on fire lately. Switch 2 just keeps getting better and better. I wish some publishers will just stop with the GCK crap. Nintendo now also makes smaller cartridges for Switch 2. 16GB and 32GB carts are also available now. So publishers have no excuse outside of just being greedy.
I wake up this morning and I must have somehow hopped into another timeline where Sony is actively speedrunning the death of their most important brand
@Tea, I think it would've been more than fine, if it wasn't releasing smack dab in the middle of some other bangers, from arguably smaller studios. Like Dawnwalker in this instance.
