Hi Guys
This will be my first review and hope to inform you guys on this buy if you are interested. i have played uncharted 1 many years a ago and have gotten onto and finished uncharted 2 : among thieves.
This game takes you right into the action on the get go. hanging from a train, injured and all. You are left a bit clueless as you stumble in the snow. then it takes to a flashback on what is to be the uncharted 2 storyline. Traveling and searching for a great treasure on the great story of Marco Polo and the lost ships and "GEM", i will not go further on that as it will ruin the story of playing it.
from the first game to this one. the controls are much smoother feeling. the jumping and hanging from ropes feels like they have taken a tip or two from Tomb raider. and the fast pace gun action is more than ever. you get stuck without ammo half the time but its just an excuse to run up and punch some ppl in the face. the fighting countering system for close combat is very fun. nice slow mo for the ultimate fun kills. they have upped the enemies with better armour and guns so that's always a great thing for a sequel
the main boss is a baldy militia monkey i would've liked a bit more soul in that character but i guess his the boss man. you run into an old love Cloe and you meet old Elena along the way. a little bit of drama in this story but its not to bad.
They do have a new multiplayer section but i have yet to try that
as for replay value i wasn't to pushed to go do it back on hard as it didn't change the story line as far as i was being led by the game
conclusion:
not a bad game. big improvements from the first game. not to many new innovative things from the first game though. the storyline lacks in comparison to the first game. but it still holds it own as a fun Indiana Jones type of story. i would've liked to have seen a better characterization with them besides just drake and a little of his background.
since this game is at R200 its a decent buy, it took me around 10 hours of gameplay to finish it. i give it a 3 1/2 stars as it wasnt ground breaking but still fun to play and jump around
