@Tea i just found out I made a mistake with rune factory - apparently there is no switch 2 limited edition, so I'll stick with the switch 1 version!

Until Dawn Sequel Reportedly in Development

by Sam Aberdeen on 04 October, 2024

    1

A sequel to Until Dawn, the interactive horror game from Supermassive Games, is reportedly in development, though there are some conflicting reports about which studio is handling it. This rumour follows the recent release of Ballistic Moon’s Until Dawn remake, which is now available on PS5 and PC.

According to leaker Shpeshal Nick, who has a mixed track record of gaming industry leaks and insider information, Sony’s first-party studio Firesprite is currently developing the Until Dawn sequel. Another report from last week claimed that Firesprite was actually developing another horror IP, a reboot of the cult classic title Siren. However, Shpeshal Nick claims that it’s actually a sequel to Until Dawn.

There’s also evidence to suggest that Ballistic Moon, the studio behind the Until Dawn remake, might be developing the sequel instead. A new leaked ending for the remake has fans speculating, though we won’t post it here for spoiler reasons. We recommend taking all of this with a pinch of salt until we get more concrete information or an official announcement.

As for original developer Supermassive Games, the studio has its hands tied with two upcoming games: Little Nightmares 3 and The Dark Pictures Anthology: Directive 8020. It’s unlikely that the developer would be able to pick up another project at this point, which makes sense to have another studio handle a potential sequel to Until Dawn.

Until Dawn originally launched in 2015 exclusively for PS4 and followed a group of friends who venture to a remote cabin on a snowy mountain after a tragic event. The group finds themselves caught up in unimaginable horrors throughout the night. It’s driven by gameplay that encourages players to make decisions that could have ripple effects throughout the narrative.

The Until Dawn remake is out today on PS5 and PC.
