Star Wars is set to have a pretty massive year in entertainment, with Disney rolling out the concluding chapter in the long-running Skywalker saga this holiday season with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. However, over on the gaming spectrum, Respawn Entertainment, the developers behind Apex Legends and the Titanfall series, are hard at work on the game, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which puts us as a fugitive padawan on the run from the aftermath of Order 66. A few weeks before the game's release, Respawn have released a trailer to get the hype rolling.

The launch trailer is short, but sweet enough to entice people into buying into the amazing extended universe that Respawn Entertainment have melded around the Star Wars space opera. It also gives us a good glimpse of the combat, taking several cues from the likes of Dark Souls and Darksiders, it seems. However, it still feels distinct in its identity, enough that it sticks to the Star Wars DNA of awesome lightsaber fights, crazy over-the-top action, and fan service aplenty.
