Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has fans of From Software's previous titles excited, to say the least. The new direction of the game, complete with narrated story and a grappling hook for vertical combat, looks to be a new and exciting venture for both company and fans. With all the information being revealed about the game, we never got a glimpse at the story (ed - that much). With the latest trailer, we finally get to see a bit more of Sekiro's story.
In the 1-minute video, the narrator tells us that Japan was engulfed in war during the last few months of the Sengoku era. Next, we see a young boy sitting in, what appears to be, the aftermath of a ravaged battlefield. A large man cuts a thin slice across the boy's face, asking, "What's the matter stray, nothing left to lose?"
Fast forward a good while and our battlefield boy has grown up. The man who approached him all those long years ago tells him, "That day I pulled you from the battlefield, I had no idea what you would become".
Though the trailer doesn't reveal too much about the story, it do give us a bit more background on the Shinobi we will be playing as in the game.
Kingdom Hearts devotee, From Software fanboy and aspiring Audiophile (the good kind that believes in FLAC files). Vincent enjoys writing about games almost as much as playing them.
