These days every gamer has some sort of content creation side hustle going or wants to start a content creation side-hustle. With the relative low barrier to entry being that YouTube and Twitch channels are free, the possibility exists. Throw in social media for pictures and you have an easy route for all your creative outlet needs. But do you need professional grade equipment? The short answer is “no”.
Simply put, unless you are making your living as a creative and then one that needs to do some serious editing of video and photos, editing that requires colour accuracy especially, spending the money on such equipment would be a waste. However, if you are serious about your hobby or planning on transitioning to professional status then the ProArt PA27AC monitor might be what you want.
The monitor features a 27-inch 1440P IPS display making it a great editing display. As odd as it sounds, 4K can be too sharp for editing so 1440p is a good middle ground. The display boasts rendering of 100% of the sRGB range making for some vibrant colours on the display even before you start working your editing magic. The panel is factory colour accuracy calibrated for a Delta E <2 which is good out of the box if not exceptional.
