Bethesda, along with developers id Software and (surprisingly) Avalanche, recently announced Rage 2, after several teases from the company. The game received a live-action trailer along with the announcement, which showed a post-apocalyptic world overrun by the type of lunatics that would fit in a Mad Max film. Now, the developer has released the first gameplay trailer, and it's awesome.
The gameplay appears to be a unique blend of the first game mixed with some of the high-octane fluidity in gun combat that was present in id Software's Doom reboot. While it's too early to tell how the gameplay will evolve, what we have so far is a great look into the crazy, colourful and pretty gory world of Rage 2, along with factions that own territories for us to desecrate at will. Anarchy reigns in this adrenaline-fueled ride through the post-apocalypse, and I can't wait to sink hours into it.
