A new leak has hit Game Freak today, which has sadly revealed the developer’s plans for the Pokémon video game series all the way up to 2027. The latest leak comes from Teraleak, who previously leaked some Pokémon Legends: Z-A content last year.
Teraleak claims that this new content was always with them and now, just decided to make it public. The content revolves around Game Freak’s plans for the series, including Pokémon Gen 10, Gen 11, and a new Legends game.
Of course, the timelines for these games are likely going to change. Right now, the internal calendar claims that we’ll get a new Pokémon game once a year, but considering it took three years to get Legends: Z-A after Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, the leaked release schedule will unlikely happen.
But first off, Game Freak is working on Pokémon Wind and Pokémon Wave. This will mark the introduction of Pokémon Generation 10 and is under the codename Gaia at the studio. Leaked screenshots show a lush jungle setting, which gives us the idea that it will be set on some tropical island. Given the “Wind and Wave” tagline, this makes sense.
Pokémon Wind and Pokémon Wave is expected to get DLC in 2027, but there’s no information about the content right now. Have a look at the leaked screenshot right here.
The second bit of information points to Pokémon Legends: Galar. Currently in development under the codename Ringo, the game is seemingly set in some prehistoric era, and the leaked concept art shows tribes and a sort of villager setting.
The third leak is then related to “Pokémon Seed”. There’s no proper name for it yet, but it is apparently a multi-region game set across Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and the Sinnoh region. Lastly, Pokémon Generation 11 is expected in 2030.
Of course, this is a leak, but it seems quite legitimate at this point. Teraleak’s previous Z-A dump accurately leaked a lot of content we have seen in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, so there’s a good chance this is all legitimate.
Game Freak is currently gearing up to release Legends: Z-A this week, which marks the second entry in the Legends spin-off series and takes place in Lumiose City, which originally debuted in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y.
