@UmarB - Yeah I was very excited to see a physical edition! (kinda been holding off playing it till this release)

Next Physical I would like is Avowed - hope they release it for PS5!

Mafia: The Old Country Gets 9 Minutes of New Gameplay

Mafia: The Old Country, the next chapter in the long-running Mafia video game series from developer Hangar 13, has received 9 minutes of brand new gameplay featuring stealth, vehicles and new cutscenes. The gameplay footage is mainly taken from the game’s Villa section in Chapter 5, which seems to be fairly early on so there’s no potential spoilers or anything that could ruin the experience.

The 9 minutes of new gameplay for Mafia: The Old Country mainly highlights the game’s flashy, violent stealth kills and new cutscenes that give us a look at some of the impressive character models and facial animations. We also get some vehicle traversal across the game’s gorgeous countryside. Beyond that, Hangar 13 is keeping this one pretty close to the chest in terms of surprises, especially for die-hard fans who want to see where the story goes next.

The official description for Mafia: The Old Country reads:

“Uncover the origins of organized crime in Mafia: The Old Country, a gritty mob story set in the brutal underworld of 1900s Sicily. Fight to survive as Enzo Favara and prove your worth to the Family in this immersive third-person action-adventure set during a dangerous, unforgiving era. Enzo will do anything for a better life. After a brutal childhood of forced labor, he’s ready to risk everything to become a man of honor in the Torrisi crime family.”

Publisher 2K Games previously confirmed that Mafia: The Old Country will launch this August at a lower $50 price point – a move that has been praised by the gaming community in the wake of AAA video game prices soaring to as high as $80. This may also reflect the amount of content on offer in the upcoming game, suggesting a shorter and more concise overall experience than the previous lengthy open world mainline titles.
