Last night, PlayStation and developer Guerrilla Games unveiled the first look at gameplay for their upcoming open world game, Horizon Forbidden West. An entire State of Play presentation was dedicated to showcasing a lengthy deep dive into the gameplay, showing off the game's new tropical setting and plethora of new robotic enemies, including a mammoth.

Guerrilla Games kicked off the Horizon Forbidden West State of Play presentation by going straight into the gameplay, and immediately we began to see new additions and features. Players will still assume the role of protagonist Aloy, but she has a few new gadgets up her sleeve. She now possesses both a grappling hook and a glider, allowing her to leap off tall mountains and glide to safety below.
In addition to these new tools, there's another impressive gameplay element that will likely be a big focus in the final game: underwater exploration. We only got a small glimpse of the underwater section in the gameplay reveal, but it will host some ocean-dwelling enemies to battle as well. Check out the full gameplay reveal below:
