343 Industries have revealed a new multiplayer map for Halo Infinite called Streets. The map, set in New Mombasa, will be an “Arena 4v4 space” focusing on close-quarters combat, pairing well with the multiplayer modes Stronghold and Oddball.

Halo Infinite is set to launch this December in two individual parts: the single-player campaign and multiplayer. Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be able to pick up Halo Infinite‘s single-player content on day one via the subscription service, with its multiplayer going free-to-play for everyone on the same day.
Multiplayer level designer Cayle George recently spoke to IGN in the gameplay reveal trailer for the new map, calling it one of their “medium to small maps.” Streets is designed to replicate a more stylized urban setting with neon signs and plenty of odd corners. Players who enjoy gunning in close-quarters arenas will certainly love what Streets has to offer, and when combined with Halo Infinite‘s new grappling hook, makes traversing around the map so much more intense and fun.
George also stated that while Streets pairs best with multiplayer modes such as Stronghold and Oddball, modes like Capture the Flag “can be a bit more of a challenge to put together on it.” Nonetheless, he trusts players will be able to make it work through a number of custom games. It could become a fan-favourite map for those looking for more chaotic and personal combat.
So far, the roster of maps coming to Halo Infinite‘s multiplayer at launch is quite impressive. These include Bazaar, Fragmentation, Behemoth, Live Fire, Recharge and more. Each map has been designed with various playstyles and ranges in mind, from close-quarters to larger open maps focused on long-distance gun fights.
Halo Infinite launches on 8 December 2021 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC, with the single-player campaign coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one.
