Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, the latest fighter from Bandai Namco Entertainment based on Akira Toriyama’s best-selling manga and anime, has sold 5 million units worldwide since its launch last year, making it the fastest-selling Dragon Ball console game of all time. The game already managed to sell an impressive 3 million units during its launch, though it seems to have grabbed more players since then to reach the new sales milestone.
According to the latest press release from Bandai Namco, Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has now sold 5 million units globally, seemingly accounting for both physical and digital sales across PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. A successor and sequel to the Budokai Tenkaichi series of Dragon Ball games, Sparking! Zero features the largest roster out of any game in the franchise along with its most robust gameplay yet.
“Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero takes the legendary gameplay of the Budokai Tenkaichi series and raises it to whole new levels. Become a super warrior and experience the earth-shaking, limit-breaking power of Dragon Ball battles! Unleash the strength of over 180 fighters from Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super, Dragon Ball GT, and selected Dragon Ball movies, all in the base game! Each character comes with their own signature abilities, transformations, and techniques. Make the destructive power of the strongest fighters ever to appear in Dragon Ball yours!”
