While many are currently getting their hands on the Devil May Cry 5 demo, we have finally gotten a chance to look at some V gameplay. Unfortunately, V isn't playable in the demo, but this gives us something to look forward to when the game launches.
The gameplay comes from IGN, who make it a point in the video to say that this is an early build. There may be some changes coming upon the final release of the game.
V's moveset looks really unique to the Devil May Cry franchise. He wields a cane and attacks his foes from a distance using his shadow familiars. IGN never got into any combos, but there seems to be a lot of potential within the character.
He has a close-range jaguar looking creature, a long-range bird that uses electricity, and Nightmare, a giant sludge-like creature that demolishes anything in its path for a short period of time. Nightmare acts as V's devil trigger and will probably see some massive upgrades as the game progresses.
One thing worth noting is that V has to be the one to land the final blow on enemies for them to die. One aspect we do want to explore when the game launches, is how V can read a book mid-battle that seems to help him.
Will defend anything Dragon Ball. Occasionally has two-way conversations with himself. Has sleepless nights about Half-Life 3 confirmed.
