I shelved Entropy : Zero 2 until I am done with my PC Stellar Blade run.

But in terms of interesting, for the last 1 or two Half Life fans in the audience; I highly recommend checking out Entropy: Zero 2

Completely crazy - I would love to see which countries make up the bulk of those stats...

Also, Stellar Blade peaked at 180k concurrent players yesterday. Pretty damn impressive seeing as Spider-man 2 (which is from a colossal IP) couldn't clock 30k players on Steam release a few months ago.

I am very curious to see the weekend numbers.

@HaseoVII fully agreed. The thing is when you make games to make money you make games like Stellar Blade and Black Myth. The numbers speak for themselves. If you make a game to send a message, you make games like AC Shadows. Concord. Dustborn, Unknown 9, and any other nonsense involved with the likes of Sweet Baby Inc. The numbers never lie...

Wukong (nothing against Astro Bot but Wukong was robbed lol) and Stellar Blade have set the bar. Western devs need to step up.

Western devs are so afraid of making games that have attractive women, and that aren't inclusive to everyone. This may be a hot take, but I firmly believe that not everything needs to be inclusive. If everything catered to everybody, the world would be an incredibly boring and predicatable place

Creators United Interview: Kez (The SA Geeks)

by Sam Aberdeen on 08 July, 2019

    3

As one of the original founders of the Creators initiative, Kez has been blown away by the amount of love and support that has come of the event. With the Creators United coming up, we thought we'd chat to The SA Geeks about their inspirations, their big future goals for helping numerous other charities, expanding the event to encompass not only the rest of South Africa but the world, and Kez's choice of Shrek as her favourite movie of all time (which was approved by many of our writers).

What inspired you to be a content creator?
He (Ros) was playing games one day and said, "maybe I should start a YouTube channel" (as we all naturally try to do). And that's how the idea to create The SA Geeks came about.

Who are your inspirations, and why?
I'm my own person, so I'd say the biggest inspiration was myself. Friends-wise, there's definitely people that I look up to, but I don't draw inspiration. It has to work that way for both of us. We kind of have to inspire each other, because that's how we move forward.

What type of content do you create?
Games, geek and cosplay.

What prompted you to participate in the Creators United?
It actually started on Twitter on how to get free Sterie Stumpies, then we moved onto it being a bigger event. Frost Eternal created the Discord, so ShushieBushie and I started formulating ideas on how to make Creators United a reality.

Do you have other charities in mind to raise funds for in the future?
More for the homeless people. I wanted to make a difference in their life. It breaks my heart to see how they're suffering. So it's my way of giving back.

Have you ever worked with any charity events before?
We were ambitious in our first year to do a 24-hour stream for Animal Allies through Creators Ball, and it was successful, but we wanted to do something bigger.

When you’re not a content creator/superhero, what do you do in your daily life?
I work as an assistant that distributes electronic and gaming products to retailers.

What are the greatest difficulties you’ve faced being a content creator?
If one of us decides to stop doing it, people often ask that they wanna see both of us. We've become a pair, doing it together for so long. It's mostly about keeping that strain in check.

How did you feel when your content was appreciated for the first time?
We were so surprised that so many people wanted to be a part of this (Creators United). We all see each other online, but we don't get to really know each other, so this is way to bring them all together in one space and for a good cause. It makes me so happy to see that.

What is your ultimate goal as a content creator?
The biggest thing is to have Creators United in different provinces. There's creators all over the country, and we want to expand upon that. Ultimately, it's to have it all over the country.

Quick-Fire Questions

Favourite dinosaur?
Stegosaurus.

Why did you choose your specific handle?
Because everyone couldn't say my full name properly.

Favourite video game?
Detroit Become Human.

How did you get here?
By car.

What’s your favourite and least favourite food?
Favourite, lasagna. Least favourite, asparagus.

Favourite Pokemon?
Eevee.

Favourite movie?
Shrek!

Mark your calendars for Creators United, happening July 27th and 28th at the Nexus Hub venue! Make sure you join in to see Kez, and many other content creators collaborate to raise funds for the Abraham Kriel Bambanani Children's Non-Profit. Our theme is superheroes!
