Borderlands Movie Gets First Poster, Artwork and Teaser Trailer
The first images of the upcoming Borderlands movie starring Cate Blanchett and Jamie Lee Curtis have been released. A full trailer is expected later today but the film’s key art and poster released a day early to tease fans on what’s to come.
The Borderlands movie is expected to launch globally on 9 August and is based on the popular video game series. It has been given the Hollywood treatment which means the film will take on a comedy theme. Comedy actors have also joined the cast including Kevin Hart who plays Roland and Jack Black who plays Claptrap.
Cate Blanchett is Lilith in the film and the first images show her with red hair boasting the iconic fringe cut. Blanchett was the first actress cast for the film back in 2020. The rest of the cast was slowly added to the project afterwards ahead of production in April 2021.
The full cast includes Roland (Kevin Hart), pre-teen demolitionist Tiny Tina (Ariana Greenblatt), Tina’s bodyguard Krieg (Florian Munteanu), scientist Tannis (Jamie Lee Curtis) and robot Claptrap (Jack Black). The movie follows the cast as they explore Pandora in search of Atlas’ missing daughter. Atlas is being played by Edgar Ramírez.
