The mouse game has become insanely competitive. There’s wired vs wireless, light vs heavy and of course, customisation is all a part of it. Asus has been making gaming mouses (mice?) for a few years now and with each iteration they have become a true competitor in the market. Their latest, the Gladius III, is a mouse that is designed to be flexible, the mouse for any gamer’s configuration.
In the box you get the mouse as well as a braided cable along with a Type C to Type A adapter. There is not any other extraneous bits and pieces that are bound to end up at the bottom of a drawer and forgotten.
Handling the mouse, the first thing you will notice is the asymmetrical design. Designed for right-handed gamers, I could not find a left-handed version on the Asus website - the mouse has a nice indent on the left side that comfortably fits your thumb and gives it a nice resting place. The right-hand side has a similar indent for your ring finger and pinkie. This is a small thing but adds so much to the overall comfort and long-term use of the mouse. If you are a claw grip style mouse user, you may find that this mouse is a little too long as it feels more natural to hold the mouse with your fingers in a more relaxed position.
If you want to spend more money you can buy more switches suited to your taste and easily swap them in.
The Bluetooth connection is a fast pairing one and allows the mouse to connect to up to three devices.
