Assassin's Creed Valhalla is the next big entry in the long-running Assassin's Creed franchise. For the most part, the anticipated game will continue leaning into the RPG aspects first introduced in Origins and Odyssey, with a lot of emphasis on strong character progression and agency, world-building and exploration, and base building as you take several steps in ensuring your main character, Eivor, achieves their goals. Eivor seems to be quite the unique protagonist as their conflict is mainly an inner struggle. The external struggles of dealing with the forces that oppose the viking way of life does play an important part in the story, but this seems like a very character-driven narrative which is a great thing that recent Assassin's Creed games have mostly pulled off. That said, it's not yet known how the story will play out but we're expecting some twists and turns along the way. Odyssey even managed to include a few of its own, so we're excited to see what surprise lay ahead of us.
