Hope so too. The 1st one was not the best but 2 and 3 was a great time! XenoBlade is better and if you know the story of the dev of Saga, i can understand.... it might be better as a legacy. But again, XenoGears was a start! Just glad the story of Blade is so great! When can we expect 4... haha

@Llama: Harade from Namco has said a few times now they aren't interested in doing a xenosaga re-release. They don't think it'll sell well enough. That sucks. Hopefully they change their minds.

@Phreak Good. I'm like still on Xeno 2 Torna and want to complete it before going to 3 but it's so much.... I feel sorry and wish I was in that position for anybody who hasn't played the games yet and looking to start! Wonder if they might one day give us XenoSaga re-release on Switch if they can make a deal with Sony)

X3 is so good! Living up to the hype so far.
Monolith are wizards for being able to make a game that big runs that well on the Switch.

So it seems a couple of us are having issues in the workplace or just not enjoying current jobs.

So what does everyone do for a living and are you happy where you are? If you could change professions what would you change to and if so why haven't you changed yet?

I'm a language practitioner, a fancy way of saying translator, editor and proofreader. Pretty happy where I am now - working from home for a single agency. Any deadline-driven business can mean unpleasant/unreasonable clients breathing down your neck - which is why I'm happy where I am, the agency can handle these clients while I do the work, even though they take a cut and pay less than freelance jobs.

I'm a 3D graphics artist, I build 3D models of stuff to use in training simulators. It is similar to game design, just not as rewarding at times.
Currently busy with a massive project that looks promising.
I am happy where I am, but I'm always looking to see if I can get in at a proper game dev company someday.

I'm a freelance writer and own a business that helps small businesses establish and maintain a presence on social media.

Forgot to add: I am really happy where I am. Wanted to work for myself since I was in high school and it has always been my goal. Added to that the fact that I can raise my son myself and not have to get an au pair or nanny or send him to creche is a major plus for me.

I'm a Systems Analyst \ Implementer. The company I work for has several large clients, including 2 banks.

I really enjoy designing and building business systems. There's a lot of challenge to it, and I never feel like I'm doing the same thing every day.

CA(SA) working in internal Corp Fin at Liberty Life. Like what I do, but need a new challenge (and better salary) so looking to move into IB proper. If I had the talent and confidence I would've looked to make a career out of writing.

Self Employed - I Buy and sell Trucks and Truck parts, I also have a small cleaning chemicals manufacturing and distributing company, I am however going to stop selling soon and just manufacture for my own needs, too much work for too little money in Chemicals.

Working for one self is extremely stressful at times, but it's my stress, not stress put onto me by employers. I wouldn't change what I'm doing for the world!!!

Geologist (by study)/GIS technician (by experience) - currently back to being a student to finish my MSc, but only for another 3 days 'til I submit the final thesis.

Everything goes to plan, I'll be self-employed and doing contract work for my old company soon.

IT. I am a web developer / systems administrator / graphic designer

I am relatively happy, but just feel always too busy and stressed lately. We are a small company, but deal with some really big high pressure clients. Some of our deadlines really are killers and my boss keeps saying “once we are over this huddle it will be better. Just give it two more weeks”. I think she has been saying that for more then a year now. I may be falling into the same opportunistic trap, but I think she may be right this time and from March things will be less stressful.
