Hi Bob - Not as yet but we are investigating various new gaming systems to launch organised play and product ranges at the Nexus Hub for this year - and that range is one of them

Thanks fo listing Hi-Fi Rush guys, definitely wanna get a pre-order in for this. Perfect timing now that the publisher has switched from Microsoft to Krafton as well so I imagine no money will be going to MS for this lol

@Ghost, it's not a local release we need to import the stock. So with shipping and customs it takes longer.

RESIDENT EVIL 4 (2023) (PS5)

New Game Plus, standard difficulty.

The gameplay is honesty just chef's kiss

Besides absolutely wrecking fools this time around, am working on upgrading all of my weapons, as well as getting infinite ammo for the Handcannon magnum.

After that, I might go into NG+ Hardcore for the A ranking, thereby unlocking Ashley's armor outfit + the Chicago Sweeper.

STAR WARS: KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC (PC)

Felt like playing an RPG.

It's taking a little while to warm up, but lets see how it goes.

Assassins Creed Mirage
Really enjoying this new AC game.
Back to basics like stealth combat & free running like the franchise started off as.
Also the most polite game ever.
"Good day sir"
"Good day"
"May I see your wares for sale."
"Of cause."
"Thank you"
"Good day to you sir."
Get a room already, I got stuff to do lol

Did a quick run of some new PS Plus games that dropped.
Gotham knights: Has potential. Will play till it gets boring
Disco Elysium: Heard so much good stuff about this one... But I have no idea WTF is going on. Will try again over the weekend
Dead island Complete addition: Oh heck no. This aged very badly. Was not exactly a AAA game to start with, but it looks like Arse in 4K
Star ocean, The Divine force: uhm.... the graphic engine is strange. Will give it a shot but not expecting much

You need to play the first two Star Ocean games. They're amazing. And the remake of the second is out next month. There's a 3 hour demo of it you can try but I highly recommend it.

I also got The Last Hope in the pipeline. Problem is that I really played it to DEATH the first time around. Always feel a bit guilty replaying games I finished already

If the game is good, there's nothing wrong with that. You just have to decide how much fun you want to have versus how much of your backlog you need to clear.

MARVEL'S SPIDER-MAN 2

Game goes insanely hard.

Great, insanely addicting gameplay, spectacle out the a**, fan service everywhere!

Waaaaay better than the previous games and probably my favorite superhero game.

30 minutes of Alan wake 2, but technical difficulties with the pc messed up my day

Little bit of Nier Replicant, but the further I get the less I feel for it. The ending is insanely good, but not so much the second time around

An arcade cabinet needs to be an option, but it was also 2 for me if we're talking home consoles (and that would have been some grey market variant from the old Bruma Lake flea market). That said, 7 might be more accurate as I really committed to gaming as a hobby from the PS1 era onwards.

Alan Wake II - Enjoying the unraveling story, Remedy's unflinching sense of style, and the more open-ish chapters with Saga and Alan that play as compact survival-horror sequences (though I'd forgotten how tiresome Alan's internal monologues are).

It's a solid 8/10 for me as a fan of the original, but I'm not finding Saga's mind palace or Alan's writing room mechanics compelling. They pull you out of the gameplay a lot and - 7 hours in - they seem to be nothing like the investigation mechanics of a Frogware-style game (think Sinking City/Sherlock Holmes). It's like a mandatory check-in where you have to post clues/write before the game will progress or let you perform a completely logical or obvious action.

Tried to get into Alan Wake 2.... Good game, but you really need to sit down and focus.

Unfortunately my pc rig is just not up to snuff anymore. Hoping Black Friday or Cyber Monday will let me grab a RTX 4070. That should last me a few years

Messing around with some all PS2 games.

The Thing
WAY better then I thought it would be.
But not enough space on my memory card. Takes up over 2MB.

SSX Tricky
Still the best snowboarding game out there!!

Predator Concrete Jungle
Great Predator game, bit of a learning carve.

100% certain this game wasn't playtested before release. The amount of bad design is phenomenal. Would have been really upset if I'd spent money on this turd.

Considering how many broken games get released these days,I doubt any games get playtested anymore.
Developers - "Well fix any issues post launch with patches. Why pay testers, when the consumers can do it for us." Insert evil laughter here.

Tried to play Guardians of the Galaxy but no.... just no. The constant chatter is funny for 5 minutes and then you just need a mute button. Gameplay is surprisingly boring

Moved on to watching Yakuza 6. Yes watching. the first 3 hours has 30 minutes of play time, with 20 minutes being trying to get a baby to stop crying. Why is there no YEET button!?
Still good, but very annoying that the main missions trigger when you get close to the area. I have now failed 2 Troublr missions because the main story triggered by accident and that's an automatic fail

The Last Guardian -

One of my more shameful backlog games so decided to play it before getting around to God of War Ragnarok. An incredibly stylish game with beautiful and intricate animations for Trico and the boy (who has incredibly bendy arms and an indestructible shirt). Having had pets my entire life, some of those interactions were heartwarming.

Gameplay is seriously up and down though. For one, it's quite long, spreading the moments where the boy and Trico connect too far apart. On top of that, you've got laggy controls, moments of staring at the beautiful architecture trying to figure out where the way forward is, and then waiting around for Trico to orient him/her-self and actually perform the right action. To it's credit, as the bong grows the more Trico seems to get stuff done quicker or point out the right way, but it takes a while to get there.

Decided to fire up Elden Ring and carry on farting around in The Lands Between. I'm only around 30hrs in.

While there's a *lot* to see and do, I love not feeling pressured to go and do anything specific. I just call my horse and gallop in a random direction, to some beautiful or foreboding landmark in the distance, not knowing what I'll find.

Only two other games have tickled my curiosity like this: Skyrim and Red Dead 2.

The sheer scope of this game was breathtaking. Massive kudos to the developers for not breaking this game up into 4 DLC parts.

Almost done with Yakuza 6.
I expected more to be honest. Fighting felt very basic, story was way to convoluted to be fun, and I kind of stopped caring after a while. Probably got spoiled by Like a Dragon

Busy playing Remnant: From the Ashes

Dark Souls with cool-looking guns, weapon mods, and trenchcoats. What's not to love?
