Lol, look for my short reviews on the books in the book reading thread. They do decline a little bit as the series reaches its closing but they remain compelling to read from start to finish.

Oh and if anyone is wondering, the movie shouldn't be exposition for 1hr30min and then action only in the last 30min. The first book spends maybe 1/4 to 1/3 of the time establishing everything and getting the characters to the arena, and thereafter it's nothing but the games themselves all the way through to the end.

Chris Beniot movie based on his life

@BP Could be interesting! I just hope they do him justice & dont focus on the last days of his life too much!

looks like they are going to do a focus on his entire life and what drove him to do that. Im sure WWE will not want the movie to be released.

@Bat and KF the only concerning thing is that they are describing it as a biographical thriller. That indicates that they are going to fictionalise the story i.e. include something like drug dealers and a fight against crime etc. To me, The Wrestler probably captured a lot of what these guys should capture, the hard life on the road and the number of awful injuries these guys struggle with over their lives.

Well, I guess we now know where Batman 3 “The Dark Knight Rises” is going...

I’m in two minds about the Benoit movie being made. I’m a wrestling fanatic, and damn proud to admit it, yes, I know, its fake, yes, I know they have a script, but I just don’t care. A Benoit movie could either shed light on the personal demons superstars face, or, could go that one step further in demonising the sport. People already have this preconceived notion that all wrestlers are on steroids and do drugs, which was very true in the 80’s, but that isn’t the case now. The WWE have been running their “Wellness policy” for about 10 years now which offers both former and current talent the opportunity to kick their habits whether it be drugs, alcohol or pain meds addictions, and if they catch you with anything that a doctor has not prescribed, then they suspend or fire you. If done properly, this could be a brilliant insight into a legend who fell from grace, if not, it’s seriously going to tarnish the industry.

Really want to find out more on this one...
Prometheus

Its a Ridley Scott film that was originally going to be a prequel to Alien, but now it looks like it is set in the Alien universe and doesn't directly relate to the same story.

@Corrosive From a couple of highly suspect plot leaks the movie seems to still be an Alien prequel, it just focuses on the Space Jockey and the human encounter with them. What we might see is the creation of the Xenomorph in this film. I also can't wait as Alien is still my favourite of the series.

Yea i think you are right - maybe they are just trying to throw a little smoke screen up so that people don't go in to the movie knowing its tied in to Alien.

Wasn't the crashed ship at teh start of the first Alien called Prometheus? I gonna look it up quick

Nah it was another alien (not the Aliens) craft. I need to watch these movies again!

Looking forward to it, whether it links explicitly to Alien or not I don't think there's been a single Ridley Scott movie I haven't enjoyed.

Men in Black 3 looks cool. Big Will Smith fan, yet even I was disappointed with the 2nd. This one looks like they're putting a bit of a darker spin on the organization, delving into secrets even they don't want to talk about and into K's past.
Really excited for it.

Also, Will Smith looks like he popped straight out of 1997, whaaaat? The man has aged well ಠ_ಠ
