After watching the Brats documentary I thought I would watch the two big 80s films I initially passed over:
- St Elmos Fire -> worse than I was expecting and I was expecting it to be garbage.
- Weird Science -> OK take on Frankenstein films. Very dated.

The Magnificent Seven OG sequels:
- Return of the Seven -> terrible, only Yul Brynner returns, Lazy writing. Steve McQueen character recast.
- Guns of the Magnificent Seven -> much better, could have been a standalone. Lead role recast as George Kennedy replaces Yul. No explanation given for return of the hair!
- The Magnificent Seven Ride! -> decent watch. Lead recast again with Lee Van Cleef as the Yul/George replacement. Young Gary Busey gets gunned down.

The Limey - on Amazon Prime. Have wanted to rewatch the Steve Soderbergh/Terence Stamp revenge classic for a long time. It didn't disappoint second time around.

Terrifier 3
Not as good as the second one. Think it was the Xmas theme.

Lost in Space
1998.
Not the best, CGI starting to age. But I like it, its got some nostalgia for me.

Dear Santa - Very clearly no one in Hollywood is capable of recognising a good script anymore. Truly awful.

Elevatation - Entertaining enough SF monster movie.

Fall Guy - decent once it going. Nice to see the OG Fall Guys in the closing credits scene.

Don't watch this movie very often. But when I do, I always forget how good it is.

Alien Romulus
From the trailer I was worried it would be average, & too dark to see what was going on.
Thankfully its dark, but you can still see whats going on. & its a great Alien movie!
Takes a little bit form the 4 original movies.

The Killer (2024) - tired John Woo film. Not bad but most do it better now.

Mr. Majestyk - excellent Elmore Leonard adaption with Charles Bronson as the melon farmer that takes on the mob.

Venom: The Last Dance.

Red One - Entertaining enough but you know what to expect from a Rock movie now.

One from a few weeks ago because it had a young Michelle Yeoh in - Tomorrow Never Dies. Seemed a far fetched James Bond film at the time maybe not so much now in this era of 'fake news' and general dumbness.

Bettlejuice - still good.

Bettlejuice Bettlejuice - I enjoyed this, not as good as the first but neatly follows up on it. Made sense they didn't include the original ghost couple (aging), they even made a joke out of it in the film. Otho actor died 14 years ago whilst the father (Jeffrey Jones) is an rightly unemployable now.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom - watchable.

Joker 2
Theres a decent movie in there somewhere, if you remove all the singing & change the ending.
Harvey Dent makes an appearance, & after a explosion the camera pans over him. Looks like the one side of his face is messed up.

Lets Start a Cult
Good little movie, CM Punk makes an appearance as well.

Greedy People - pretty good dark crime comedy.

Kraven: The Hunter - Surprisingly solid and, mostly, enjoyable.

Abbott And Costello Meet Frankenstein.

American Carnage - slipped under the radar for good reasons. Garbage.

Speak No Evil - this was superb.

Seven - rewatch, still terrific.

Pig - companion film to Mandy (Nic Cage). Not a revenge film.

Never Let Go - Shyamalan film not in any related to Shyamalan!

1992 - OK heist film. Ray Liotta's last film. Looked healthy in it. Within weeks of shooting this he was gone.

Suspiria (2018) - remake an hour longer for no good reason. Way more brutal ending though.

The Core
Disaster movie, with CGI that has not aged well.

Attack of The Killer Tomatoes - Not so bad it's good. More so bad it stinks! How this is considered a "cult classic" is beyond me. . .

Silent Hour - decent cop film with a neat twist.

Bad Genius - excellent film.

Thunderbolt and Lightfoot - third or fourth time watching. Still superb.

Transformer One - rubbish start but once they go to the surface it was great fun. Baddassatron!

Mean Streets - a bit disappointed in this. Not much happens.

Us - terrific, not sure how I missed this until now.

Oldboy - rewatch of the remake. It's still OK.
