French Connection - brilliant film. Second viewing. Bill Hickman drives the Pontiac Le Mans in the brilliant car scene and appears in the film as an FBI agent. Hickman drove the Dodge Charger in Bullit. Legend.
French Connection II - nowhere near as good. First time seeing.
Laroy, Texas -another neo western dark crime comedy. Good.

The Crow 2024
First 15/20mins are bad, but once Eric & Shelly die things get a bit better.
Some good R rated action, especially the opera house sequence.
Obviously the original is better. The remake does not have THAT much in common with the original anyway. I think what really brought the remake down was the casting, on all fronts.
End of Day

& great sound track!

Gunner - what trash. Luke Hemsworth deserves better than this. Cartoon CGI.
Daddio - entire film takes place in NY taxi cab with driver and passenger talking. Would be a good watch if not for the far superior Locke. Tom Hardy on the phone in his car. That was an incredible film, this a pale imitation. However if you haven't seen Locke this would still be fairly decent.

Alien: Romulus - Chav's in space! Basically another corporate attempt at using a legacy sequel/ reboot to jumpstart an ailing franchise while tying everything into everything else so much that it no longer feels natural. Thought it was supposed to be gory but it wasn't. The production design for sets and CG is good though.

Kill 'Em All - meh film that tries too hard with the plot. JCVD murders his oldest son on screen.
Kill 'Em All 2 - better as it dispenses with plot. JCVD gets to murder his other son in this! Nice to see a near 40 year old woman play his daughter in this. Respect JCVD, some others can learn to age with some grace like this.

Borderlands - BAF and it's only 90 minutes plus credits. Not even one of those good bad films that you can laugh at. Pandora looked OK.
A Quiet Place: Day One - decent film.
Tuesday - weird film. OK
Under Paris - trash, worse than Borderlands in almost everyway but not as boring. Can't believe some are saying this is the best shark film since Jaws.
